Why the hate towards Fassel?

Tell me this why should Jim Fassel be the new head coach of the Redskins?

He hasn't proven really nothing in his career. One Super Bowl in which he lost and didn't coach at all last year. Has he proven himself as a solid NFL coach enough to come in and get use back to the Super Bowl and win, I don't think so?

That's still one Super Bowl better than Mooch and Gregg Williams. Just sayin'. Not every schlub makes it to the big show.

Here's a few reasons in his favor: He's got a winning record in this league, he's known as being a great mentor for young QBs, and he's a disciple of the WC system.

Why should he not be our next HC?

I don't like Fassel either...but pickin's are slim...I don't think you can saw any of the candidates are make or break at this point

Fassel or Mooch would be the same in my opinion, but Fassel got more out of a rather lackluster Giants team and getting them to the big dance than Mooch ever did with the 49ers. My only concern against Fassel, is he has been out of coaching for a bit. Mooch with the Lions was doomed from the start with McMillen in charge. The Lions are one sad ass team, but the Skins are not too far from the horizon.

I hate Fossil, I have no idea why. I like Mariucci, and again, I have no idea why. I think Fossil has a superior record.

Now that we have Zorn I do not see the added benefit of Fossil.
