Also awkward was the mentioning of starting 10 on defense to honor Sean Taylor right after he thanked Gibbs for being at the press conference. All in all, however, he's saying the right stuff. No fluff, no "we're going to beat Dallas blah blah blah blah."

Alright now we get to see the real Jim Zorn. Questions are usually easier during situations like this where you can just be yourself.

Keeping the existing run terminology and scheme in place sounds like a good start. I think we're going to be just fine, there will be a bit of a learning curve but Zorn's a smart guy.

I'm impressed that the BS meter for Zorn's comments is basically zero. I'm sure he thought our colors were maroon, yellow, and black because those were the colors of the apparel his family bought. I'd rather have a guy flub the tradition stuff than nail it and sound insincere. Just look at Bobby Petrino's pathetic "Woo Pig Sooie" Arkansas press conference. Zorn can think our colors are pink and lavender for all I care.

Also, the "ALRIGHT, DAN?" part was a great moment.

Yeah, Jim seems a lot more comfortable with answering questions then making statements. Right now I feel like hes a lot more natural.

Re: Presser at 3pm Sunday to announce Zorn as SKINS new HC.

He'll learn that he doesn't have to answer any of the media's questions. He's elaborating too much.

This is a press conference... just give vanilla answers.

Poor guy is nervous as hell.

EDIT: I love that he answers them... just think that he'll be more likely to dig himself a hole if he elaborates too much.

Is he the anti-Gregg Williams?

Love the attention to detail with the QB, hope he does call the plays

Well, he's definitely a better qb coach than he was an actual qb. That's a good sign for us.

Be more specific, some of us aren't watching it (can't watch it). What was said?

Zorn went into detail about some of Campbells' strengths and talked about Jason having to squat so low at the LOS and being more explosive off the LOS. It was a great response and IMO his other responses to football based questions do show a great attention to detail.

Nice. That is something several of us brought up during the year too. Maybe he's a member here. LOL.

Did he mention anything about who he prefers for OC, or what we will do about the OC position?

I hope not, unless they're in negotiations with someone. Best to keep your options open during a situation like this rather then peg someone to be an OC before they've been contacted.

Wonder how Rabach and Buges feel about that? I'd also like to see the cost of this entire "process." I mean from the hugeeeeeeeeeee phone bill, to the cost of overtime for the staff, to the money spent on Redskin 1, plus the cost of lavish dinners and lunch, then the cost of going to the strip club. I have reason to believe that the bill might very well be over 2 million dollars.
