So please tell us, of the draft picks selected on Saturday, which one is the only one makes the team?
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! I was trying to figure out which one it would be myself. See even a Dallas fan can appreciate our draft.

Thanks Sandtrap

Dude try and take a deep breath and wait until camp/ preseason before judging them. Anyway regarding the rating, yeah I think we did a great job this year. Thomas, Kelly, Rinehart, and Davis are a lock IMO. So help yourself to a big batch of Crow come September.

Re: NFC Grades: Yahoo Sports

Saying one player makes this team is ridiculous. The Redskins had a great draft, they got four players that were easily in the top 3 of their particular position on almost every board. We got two bigger WRs, a stud TE for 2 TE sets, a great punter, and some great depth. What didn't we get? Maybe Calais Campbell? I wanted him too, but it wasn't in the cards. I don't think our Dline is terrible by any means, but we could use some help.

The reason you draft a punter there is so you don't HAVE to compete with other teams. That's the point of drafting these players, having exclusive rights to a certain player. I would love to have a punter booming them for 10 years. I'd love a good kicker too.

You absolutely spend a pick on a potential great punter or kicker, it's a big part of winning football, how many late round picks even make the team, this kid will be starting for us day 1, great pick at a big time need area.

I wanted Calais as well I felt we could have drafted him early in the second and still have a big WR available with the next pick, but as of next year my biggest concerns are CB, and OL, we have some potential at CB right now in Tryon and Torrence, OL could be a real sore spot next season.

I have concerns with Kellys knee's but I think he's a natural at WR, I also loved Davis at TE just didn't see that kind of a pressing need to draft him there, Thomas is the most physically gifted hopefully he only gets better. One thing I liked about all 3 is they all look very aggressive, they want the ball nice to see.

Actually it was in the Cards, as Campbell went to the Cardinals one pick before we drafted Kelly. I feel Calais Campbell would have been drafted by the Skins if he was available at 51.

Re: NFC Grades: Yahoo Sports

wow saying only one player will make the team is a stretch
and if the punter doesn't make the team I'll be surprised cause from everything I read he sounds like the best college has to offer. and lets face it Frosty is inconsistent at best.

Re: NFC Grades: Yahoo Sports

I would have normally somewhat come close to agreeing with sbaughone considering we usually only get about half the draft picks to be worth something, but this draft was different. No we did not go out and get our DE/DL we desperatly needed. It would have been nice to have a flashy name there to go along with Carter but I feel we can get by with what we have as long as we are putting up some points on the board. I also am smart enough to figure they will look at the undrafted guys as well as any that are cut prior to preseason.

We picked up the top rated WR on the board in Thomas, the top rated TE on the board in Davis to compliment Cooley in our 2 TE sets, another top rated WR in Kelly who probably should not have dropped as far as he did, and the top punter on the board who can has a punt average of 45yrds but did punt one for 76yrds in highlights.

And as far as punters go.....right after we picked ours another was picked which means we would not have had the best punter on the board.

I'm also excited about our other picks. A CB that was compared to Smoot. I like that pick. An OL who will probably be turned into a G or C. I think Zorn is not to happy with our center now sitting his butt to low to the ground causing JC to squat to low. A Safety who was compared to Ryan Clark. Can't complain there Ryan did a good job hell we fell apart after he left.

Now if we can find some diamonds in the rough with the invites! I wish they would give us the names so we could start our cheering squad for the UFA's. LOL.

Erin Henderson and Andrew Crummey (local Univ of MD guys) weren't drafted and I think they are both good enough to make the skins roster. Henderson is especially surprising given that he was Kipers best available LB for a good portion of day 2.

Re: NFC Grades: Yahoo Sports

The fact of the matter is that there are no guarentees on any player that is drafted. If one draftee makes the team and contibutes to winning then I would call it a successful draft. Who else was drafted with Art Monk or Darrell Green? Can you name any? Were those bad draft years?

My last yrs choice was Marcus Mason. I was so happy he made the team. I don't know who I will root for this yr. I'm interested in a DE though.

But it isn't, I'd have to go with the year we drafted Monk, or Green.

I wouldn't go overboard there - it was a solid draft. Of course, relative to the past 7 years, it was an incredible draft, but in absolute terms I would leave it at "solid".
