And at the QB position, at WR, at head coach and at the secondary. They're NFL champs, and we're spinning our wheels - again.

I agree totally; however, I would argue the Giants are not a good football team this year. We made them look pretty efficient but @ week 16 I will be very surprised if NY has a winning record. Sure they will have a better record than Zorn and Co. but that simply means they are less shitty.

I agree that the Giants won't tear it up. If they were a great football team, they would have beat us by 30 points or more, given the way we played. Our offense was pitiful.

Well when you have turnover like we do then sometimes it's going to show on the field. Right? Eli has been in one offense his whole career. He also has a stud in Plx. Burress and we just don't have that type of physical presence on the field. He made Eli look good on a couple throws. And while Eli is a better QB than JC he sure threw some terrible passes too.

I just think the most frustrating thing wasn't Jason's play or the Defense or anything like that. It was those routes that were obviously short of the first down!

Right... well throw the damn ball where it is supposed to be and not always look for the check down, and maybe we wouldn't miss those first downs..

For as much as I do not agree with a lot of your comments (I think you're being too hard on some people even though I haven't said anything), I do agree with the above comment. People are too quick to say that the WR's aren't getting open, but last year Collins proved they ARE getting open, Campbell isn't seeing it. Campbell is looking like Brunell...too afraid to make a mistake. That being said, I am confident that Zorn will break him of that. He just needs time.

C'mon fellas, nobody can be irked about this game. We overachieved and kept the margin within ten in a game that should have been much closer to my prediction of 42-6. Simply put, we are team w/o a NFL caliber offense, which by necessity means our defense should get worn in most games and allow the opponent to run up the score in the 2nd half. That did not happen and so I don't see how any fan can honestly complain. WE KEPT THE SCOREBOARD RESPECTABLE!!!

Are you drunk? The first two sentences don't make any sense (the second doesn't need a ?)

Friends don't let friends type drunk....someone take the keys away. lol.

I'm not sure if I should be un-happy or happy? I mean....piss pour planning = piss pour performance. Sacks, Short passes on 3rd and long, dropped balls, CB's not trying to force an incompletion, no one big enough to ring Jacobs bell, bad play calls, bad clock management throughout the game except the last 2min of 1st half,.......

or...happy that a 1st yr coach playing a SB team only had 16 points scored on their turf with crowd noise. As bad as we looked it was not a blow out. Either the Giants pulled punches or we are not as bad as we look to be. or the Giants are not as good as they used to be even though they did not look to bad. I wonder how well we will play them at the end of the yr.

I honestly don't think the Saints are better or even as good as the Giants. I won't go so far and say it will be easy but I think the Giants D is better.

How many of you about shit yourself when they announced Torrence was filling in. LOL. When I heard that I wrote the game off. lol. Oh well.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Game Thread 9/4/08

On a side note.....Gibbs lost his first 5 as a rookie coach before winning games. I'm sure people were not happy and probably wanted him fired but look what he did for us when he started winning. We really do need to give Zorn a chance. I still don't know why we didn't try to find a way to keep McMullen...he seemed to be forming a bond with Campbell. Why did it seem to take all the way up till the 4th quarter to get Cooley the ball? What happened to the 2 TE sets....did I fall asleep? I don't recall the ball ever being handed off to Sellers either. Screen pass set up sucked. Slants were working.

Oh well. maybe next time on our turf. Until then we need to find a way to win or we will be left behind in this division.

I wonder if the O-line understimated the Giants D-line without Osi.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Game Thread 9/4/08

I am not making excuses for anyone.

If JC can't find an open receiver he needs to run more (WRs need to creat some separation).

The WRs need to work on their YAC if they can't get to the 1st down marker on 3rd down.

the Dline needs to tighten up in the middle. The giants ran up the middle like it was butter.

Zorn needs to call better plays and manage the game quicker.

JC needs to make quicker decision but he by no means lost us the game.

WRs need to fight for the ball and make the catch before they run.

Our rookie WRs need to get their shit togther and produce.

Our o-line needs to block better on run and passing plays.

Everyone knew that the rookies were not going to contribute, they never do. So that's more like wishful thinking.

Well with the way JC played its hard to tell if we have the other issues on O that you pointed out. The line blocked OK on passing plays but JC held the ball too long. On the first play he was starring at Moss while one WR stood right in the middle of the field wide open then JC rolled right into the sack. I also think this loss has to be put on JC because of his play.
