Re: ignorance at it's best
Yes its def. ignorance at its best but who else would these people vote for? Reason I ask that is people are spinning this like McCain/Palin are attracting these people but if your a raciest who else would you be supporting. Its just a sad fact that because of Obama's skin color these nuts will support McCain just for that fact. I'm sure their are plenty of people who are voting for Obama because of his skin color alone as Smoot pointed out.

Re: ignorance at it's best
I think this issue has already been address in the past. Simply put, black people don't vote Republican. They will vote for a democrat 9 out of 10 times.

Re: ignorance at it's best
That's pretty crazy but it doesn't shock me one bit. Hell I know people like that. It really pains me that people can be so stupid.
However, let's not paint all McCain supporters as being as ignorant as these folks. I know that wasn't the intent. There are going to be ignorant people no matter what party there involved with. |

Re: ignorance at it's best
I can't believe no one has pointed out the hilarious irony of the thread title.
"It's" is a contraction (e.g. it is, it has). "Its" is a possessive pronoun. It is true though, this is ignorance at its (ironic) best.

Seriously, bigotry and racism is a terrible but common piece of human nature. Really big when special people can help bridge the gap i.e. Ghandi and MLK Jr. Maybe Obama could be another but it's hard to say.

Re: ignorance at it's best
Thought I'd share a more common view of what the rural community that I'm more familiar with thinks regarding this presidential election. If you have time check more of the links on guardian.co.uk as Gary Younge, british journalist, works his way around Roanoke during the election season. Some stuff is poignant, others....not so much.

Re: ignorance at it's best
Funny all these people are going out of their way to go to these small little towns to find these people to interview. Why are they not going into the inner cities to get their views?

Granted, not caring is a type of ignorance in itself, but being terribly misinformed is far more dangerous than not giving a damn in the first place.

Re: ignorance at it's best
I was wondering last night where has Jessie Jackson and the Ail Shaprtons of world gone durn this election? Its like they have fallen off the face of the earth. I'm just surprised they have not been on MSNBC or one of these Sunday morning shows.

Re: ignorance at it's best
They should know to keep their mouth shut until this election's over. The guy's in the lead, no need to screw over his chances now.
