Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
For me, I think it's time to pull out the stops. We were talking about saving Moss for the playoffs and those look like they might be slipping away. I'd really like to see him back there a lot more often now until the offense starts showing they can score more than 10-15 points a game.

4 of these last 6 games are road games. With Hasselbeck back for Seattle, they are a lot better than their lousy record suggests, and that stadium is a tough place to play. We really wet the bed losing 3 out of our last 4 at home. It's tough to win on the road in this league. I think we'll be lucky to go 4-2, with 3-3 more likely IMO.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
We owe seattle a loss and we get our revenge.
Some reason I just think we beat the Gmen. We have lost two at home its a pride thing. Balt wins a tough game. We roll over cin. We also roll over Phil. as they are falling apart and McNabb is sitting on the bench. We just get by 49ers. |

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
11/23 @ Seattle
W - Seattle is 1-4 at home this year. Our defense will squash their offense, and it'll be up to Campbell to beat their horrible defense 11/30 vs NY Giants L - No matter what you think of the Giants, their defense will eat the offensive line alive, and after what Brandon Jacobs did to Baltimore, I really don't see the Giants struggling down the stretch 12/7 @ Baltimore L - Again, their defense will eat the offensive line alive. This game score wise will be a lot closer than the Giants game, but in B-more, I see a loss 12/14 @ Cincinnati W - While the Bengals have struggled, they gave everyone else in the NFC East a run for their money (Giants 26-23, Cowboys 31-22, Eagles 13-13). However, I think our defense matches up very well against their offense. 12/21 vs Philadelphia L - Somehow, Jim Johnson will have that defense ready to give the Skins fits all day. 12/28 @ San Francisco W - Another team with a bad home record (2-4) and 4 of the last 6 away from San Fran, they'll just want the season to be over 2-4 isn't out of the realm of possibility. 3-3 is attainable. 4-2 is feasible, but unlikely. To do better than that, the Skins will have to address every problem and do a complete 180 on it. The offensive line will have go back to early season form, injuries will have to dissipate, and the defense cannot go back on its heels.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
I think the Seahawks have already packed it in and are looking for the Mora era to begin. If the offense puts up some points and uses the game as a confidence booster then the rest of the season should be good (5-1 , loss to either Bal or NYG). If it is a close, defensive game then 2-4 is more likely. Right now the Seahawks are 31 against the pass and opponents average over 34 minutes of TOP.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
The only thing consistent about the '08 Redskins, they play to the level of the competition. If it's a good team, they keep it close and somehow managed to win some of these games. When they play a team they are supposed to roll. they allow the weaker team to stay in the game and somehow manage to squeak out a victory, St Louis was the exception. Seattle, Cincinnati and San Francisco are supposed to be locks. New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore will be struggles. The way the Redskins play, all of these games will be nail bitters.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
It's also important to note that if the season ended today we have the 6 seed. We have the same record as Dallas and Atlanta. Dallas still plays at Pit and Phi with the Giants and Baltimore at home (they will lose at least two of those). ATL still has Carolina and TB at home and a trip to SD, Min and NO. With a rookie QB (albeit a great one) expect them to lose at least two. Phi is a half game behind and face 5 teams that are vying for the playoffs. TB (the current 5 seed who holds a one game lead over us) has a pretty cake remaining schedule but Carolina (2 games up on us) have a really tough schedule (@ ATL, GB, NYG, and NO with TB and Den at home) and could realistically lose 5 of those finishing 9-7. Despite the past two games, we are still in a pretty good position (despite how far the media is up the Pukes ass).
I love this time of year when we are playing games with meaning.

Like, SS said, against good D's we can't seem to get out of our own way. Cinci is bad but they do have some talent. Last week they played w/ Phili who have a similar record to our own. Sea is getting MH back i believe, and we haven't exactly played real well there. Sea: L NYG: L @ Balt: L @ Cinci: W Phili: W SF: W Damn, that sounds bad, so i hope i'm wrong, but unless we do some fixin (which is very possible) this thing might get ugly. |

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
3 of the last 4 years we've had threads like these but they always seem to come after a delibitating loss when the majority sentiment is that we are the Washington Generals of the NFL and nearly all hope is lost, barring some bizarre planetary alignment.
When it's time for an inevitable thread like this next year, I say we start it right after a win.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
Smootsmack:
Start this kind of thread after two wins in September and you might have a bunch of predictions of a 19-0 season. Euphoria - just like gloom - can blur one's vision... The Redskins should be favored in five of the last six games - assuming they are a point or two favorite over the Ravens in Baltimore. Three of their road games are against lesser opponents; the Ravens game in Baltimore will be challenging. The schedule sets up for them to win at least 4 of the last 6 - - and maybe 5 of the last 6. What remains is for the players to seal that deal.

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
anyone that says they wouldn't have been happy with 6-4 at the point in the season, before the season started, isn't telling the truth. the redskins will be favored in 3 of those games. and will win the 4th, to get into the playoffs. there, i said it. i never make predictions like this. but looking at the talent we have, all that needs to be done is coach Buges working on consistency. might be time to get Mr. Heyer back into the line up
