And if you're going to commit so heavily to another project essentially, then go balls to the wall and truly commit. If you think he's the next Matt Ryan, then play him like the Falcons played Ryan.
Can you comment on what's going on with the FO? I mean what's Snyder's deal this offseason? What owner goes to college workouts other than maybe Jerry Jones? Is he just hiding behind Cerrato and really playing GM?

I believe more owners attend workouts than you'd think. I don't exactly know what's going on. I hear a lot of Zorn and Snyder want/think/believe. Not as much about Cerrato. And nothing at all from Campbell (Scott Campbell) which is not that surprising considering he's the behind the scenes guy.

Trading up to get Sanchez is very questionable, but I'd be ok with it, provided we (see above). But it's less likely we could do that if we trade up for Sanchez.

But trading up to #5 is not likely going to be enough to get us Sanchez anyway, and besides haven't we learned not to get so worked up over every rumor that's out there. Or not?
SS u r often a voice of reason much appreciated...but in this case (the Sanchez issue) I think there is a bigger picture that is getting uglier all the time. At some point it's become clear the FO isn't really sold on X,Y or Z QB but instead just wants to find a way to jettison JC. For instance, Cutler and Sanchez are very different QBs. If anything Stafford is a similar slinger to Cutler. Yet our owner gets butterflies about 2 very different styled QBs, neither of which have any experience w/ Zorn's version of the WCO, and in Sanchez a guy w/ really limited experience. Snyder looks like a nutcase at this point IMO, but I have to wonder about his real purpose. He's pissed and sh*t all over JC so badly now it's like Snyder is baiting the kid to work w/ his agent toward a trade...

Now u might ask why Snyder would go such a roundabout way to reach this end...why not be direct and have started the trade stuff much earlier. Is that really how Snyder does football? Nothing has been straightforward since Gibbs left. In fact before Gibbs had cleared out for good Snyder was already taking the low road, sending it over the wires Greg Williams had disrespected Gibbs and created a real problem for everyone. Snyder, clearly, doesn't know how to end things respectably if he wants them ended.

Could we be trading up to grab someone else, like Orakpo?

We are going to take Mack with the #5 pick. We gotta take him because there is no way he's going to be there at #13.

Mack at 13 is better than trading all of our picks for Cutler or Sanchez. You'll be saying I was right when Raback falls down and breaks a hip.

Or really even if he's totally healthy.

You could be right. These GM's are worse than politicians.
If we did move up, I'd want Orakpo, Monroe or Jason Smith and that could happen if we did indeed move up to 5.

Nope he ate the raw flesh of lions. That's the kind of guy we need on this team.

Jason Smith is not going to fall past #2, and well I have read a few articles talking about concerns over Monroe's knees (Peter King's article where he talks about Snyder and Sanchez being one of them). If Jason Smith falls it would be super, so would Curry, and I wouldn't mind Orakpo. I wonder who is the top player on the Skins draft board.

I'll say we're going to swap picks with Green Bay at #9 for Orapko, giving them our 3rd and getting back a 4th or 5th.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Peter King says Browns and Skins discuss pick swap

I agree with Smootsmack...this is a bunch of BS...the skins just want to guarantee that Sanchez will be taken before 13, so it increases the chance that a quality OT/LB/DE is still on the table...of course I am on medication right now...but ya gotta be positive!
