Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
No , I would not go WR - TE . What I'am saying is this , I would pick a HOF type RB or DL as opposed to a Tackle that I believed was an above average T . I would 1st , bring in 2-3 OL in F/A , then I would not have to use " all of my pics " on one position . I will put it this way , if in rd 2 I have to choose between D.Dockery and B. Sanders ... I draft Sanders .

Let the new staff build the team to their style. Instead of trying to put square pegs in round holes. Can they do what the Caps did....shed all their old dead wood and bring in new young healthy talent? |

It's nice to think about getting the #1 OL or just picking a different position if we can't get the #1 but don't get mad if they pick up someone else cause they know what type of player fits their system. |

It is all about scouting for your system. Zorn was screwed almost from the get go with leftovers from the Gibbs' system that obviously didn't work well in the WCO. Have to build a system with what you have to work with talent wise. For Shanny to be a success you have to blow the whol enchilada up and start from scratch.

I can't see how Zorn is calling plays as some people assume. Anytime they show him on the sidelines he's just standing around.
Let's face it the team has packed it in these last two weeks and all the off the field distractions haven't helped either. |

I can totally see how Zorn is calling the plays. He still has a head set and mic. Plus we sucked prior to all the distractions. Especially when Zorn was game planning, play calling, and managing the clock prior to Lewis. No one could tell me differently after the last 2 games that Allen most likely gave the keys back to Zorn so he could say he did it to give a fair evaluation on Zorn's coaching abilities. Otherwise some fans out there or other coach's would be saying "they fired Zorn and Allen never gave him a fair shake" or "how could Allen even evaluate Zorn when Lewis is running the offense." I think Allen is letting Zorn fire himself. The only caviate would be if Zorn actually won the last 3 games by a large margin but statistically it didn't show Zorn would do that. |

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
This season is painful. I can't wait for this team to be blown up. It's embarrassing. JC looked like someone shot his dog out there.
Last night, JC had very little pocket awareness. It's hard to blame him, but he really didn't. The defense did about as much as they could. AH played a good game. I can't wait til the offseason. |

You simply can't reach for a guy based on need, that's not a sound draft strategy. In no particular order I would like to see us grab a QB, RB, and OT with our first 3 picks.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
You really thinking addressing the line with 1 pick is going to be good enough? you could put Peyton behind this line and we would still not get better QB play...we can only be as strong as our weakest link and our O-line is simply terrible, at this point the worst in the league IMO. I think we trade out of the first and pick up 3 OLs and get a QB/RB in the third/fourth round.
