Oh for God's sakes. I know you're just passing along what your buddy said, but those trade concepts just seem ridiculous.

Shanahan loves Colt Brennan?? I mean you lost me before that, but if you hadn't, that definitely did the trick!

LOL. This is all coming out of Kevin Sheehan's mouth. I never said I believed him nor am I supporting what he said. Just passing along some Skins rumors I heard.

I honestly don't see Shanny loving Colt Brennan either. If Colt is so great, then why aren't teams knocking on our door asking what it would cost to get him???

that's a good point. Brennan has no real body of work to look at that would lead Shannahan to feel comfortable with him leading our team.

man they know how to release stuff.. it's only feb and I'm like GIMME MORE INFO

some of it seems kind of impulsive though, but we'll see

I'm not exactly in a hurry just to see moves happen, but interested in what our coaches think of who is here

Rumors are all that's left when there's no information forthcoming. If Bruce Allen is anything like his father, what the team intends to do will not be broadcast to the world like previous years.

Since we have more than just a couple of needs, the idea of trading down (if possible) is intriguing

Re: Redskins trading out of the 4 spot?

I have to agree with Shneed10, there is going to be a ton of misdirection from our FO. They would be stupid to telegraph what their real plans are. I would not give these rumors too much attention.
The only rumor I like of these listed is getting Brandon Marshall. He is legit NFL WR and would be a great #1 for us, but giving up on Laron Landry is a big mistake. With some good mentoring and time to develop he is a future Probowl player. We do not have anyone on our roster including Kareem Moore that is ready to step in.

Re: Santana Moss, I have to say the same thing about our Wr's Kelly and Thomas, while they have shown glimpse's of their potential, they are NOT ready to be counted on to be our #1 or #2 WR.

Ok then would you rather have a WR who's on his decline in health and stats or would you rather have 2 WR's who are young, healthy and have the potential to be #1?

I don't know about you but I'm looking toward our future so I'll take the 2 young guys. Trade Moss.

another thing someone asked if we are giving up on Landry? No were not, but if you have 2 already decent SS in Doughty and Horton we might as well trade out any one of the 3 that will give us the best value, which happens to be Landry, for whatever trade value or picks or combination of the two that will help the team. We have SS's we need a FS or two.

As a team in the top 5 it's your due diligence to explore trade options. Exploring it and pulling it off however are two completely different things.

Exactly, every year is the same rehashing of this info. No team is 100pct on keeping a top 5 pick.

Re: Redskins trading out of the 4 spot?

They should trade out of the 4th spot if possible and get more picks. They could address many holes in the OL, QB, RB, LB positions that way.
