I hear that. I can probably count the number of times I've been to Baltimore on one hand. I've been to Durham, NC way more times haha

Wish Ripken and associates would've been able to buy the team off of Angelos but at least he brought in a real FO.

O's and Jays already at 3 runs a piece going into the 2nd

Boog Powell and Brooks Robinson threw out the first pitches

How did Boog's pitch look?

Anyways...the O's have a bright future, or would have if not in the AL East. They have one of the better OFs in the MLBs...and they're young.

Matusz should be their #1, not #3, but maybe this is better for the team while he's matched up against other #3 pitchers.

Weiters has the potential to be a Top 4 or 5 catcher THIS YEAR.

Luke Scott should do well at DH.

In a couple of years, they should be the #3 team in the division if they can keep their young core together. Tampa won't be able to afford to keep Crawford, Longoria or their other stars. Their run is about up. I just root against Toronto for being Canadian.

As for the Nats, they''ll be trash until Strasburg comes up, then they'll be trash for only 4 out of every 5 days, unless Wang regains his 19-win form and actually stays healthy.

yeah being in the AL East sure isn't doing us any favors, especially while there's no salary cap

Nats pitching rotation will be completely different come July. Can't wait to see Strasburg's minor league debut on Sunday

you've gotta get the kid used to higher pitch counts, longer season aka so that he doesn't throw his arm out or get so rattled he can't get it done (JC style)

It's mostly a financial decision. Holding Strasburg in the minors until a specified date (which the article states 20 days, so anytime after April 28th, most likely middle to the end of May) will allow the Nats to avoid salary arbitration and free agency one extra year. Plus this will give Strasburg some time to work out some issues he had in Spring Training, mainly his velocity from the stretch.

Man, Baltimore fans disgust me! Booing Mike Gonzalez yesterday was totally classless...the sad part is, it didn't surprise me one bit. F'ing Baltimore.

Another issue I have with it is the fact that 70% of the people at the game yesterday, aren't going to support the team today.
