Re: Preliminary Nominees for the HOF 2011
If Bettis was in any other team, he wouldn't make it to the HOF, but he's a Steeler. Not taking away anything from his career, but the Steelers are the original bandwagon team and they are liked by many people. So I would agree that he gets in.

Re: Preliminary Nominees for the HOF 2011
umm..the Bus get's in. Hate sound corny, but he's just so likeable and represents the Hall well. I know it's ultimately aboubt he did on the field the counts, but people just love some Jerome Bettis.

It looks like the HOF has posted Chris's bio. Hopefully the vote will go his way in a few weeks:

All of those players deserve to be HOF's IMO. They all dominated during their respective era's.

Re: Preliminary Nominees for the HOF 2011
I think Bettis gets in and soon, but I can't see him as being superior to Curtis Martin. I see Faulk as a no brainer, Cris Carter, Tim Brown, Deion and Dent getting in.
To even suggest that Faulk is not HOF worthy is a joke. Same goes for Bettis, but I just can't see him getting in first ballot especially with Faulk and Martin having put up superior stats at a stat driven position. |
