Re: (Merged) Redskins 2005 Schedule

Yes the week 3 bye is probably the biggest thing here to complain about. As far as the schedule looking tough...it probably will always look tough for the skins when a quarter of the schedule is made up of Philly & Dallas every year.

Anyone dislike the fact that NE, Eagles, Pitts, ATL, Jets?, all seem to have like 3-4 MNF games? I really don't like that they did that =/

What are you trying to say? Have you watched the Redskins on Monday night say in the last................20 years? If you did you would then realize the Redskins suck balls on Monday night games.

I would wish for no Monday/National games ever.

Re: 2005 Schedule is out!!!!!

man that early bye week sucks ass, but the schedule other than that isn't too bad. It's nice to see some of our road games at nasty winter places r earlier in the year. The @ St. Louis game is gonna be a tough one as will the one in Kansas City. I'd love for that final game in phili to be for division crown but I have this odd feeling that it will actually be us versus the Giants for the division title this year. Just a hunch.

And whats up with us seemingly playing the Bucs every freakin year?

No those are the fruits of winning. The Redskins are lucky to have even 1 Monday night game. I wouldn't blame the NFL for putting Philly & NE on Monday 8 times each since they are the only 2 teams gaurenteed to be good each year. Most teasm are good one year and awful the next which makes it almost impossible to put a good Monday night schedule together.

Don't you want to see teams you don't get the pleasure of seeing on MNF? I want to see teams I don't get to see all the time! What if a team gets hot next year. A new Chargers. What then?

Personally, I watch Monday Night football no matter who is playing, but to get the casual fan to tune in they need matchups with winning teams. Without a crystal ball to use the best way of getting these matchups is to give last seasons playoff teams the bulk of the appearances. I don't see a problem with it.

Thumbs up Re: (Merged) Redskins 2005 Schedule

can't believe a skins/cowboys game on mnf so early,i'm not questioning the mn spot,
just the fact it's so early in the year.i figured espn would get a skins/boys game this year.instead, they got another skins/eagles game.

Re: (Merged) Redskins 2005 Schedule

You think they won't give one of footballs hottest rivalrys (though be it somewhat sad lately) a primetime spot? What about two of the leagues highest grossing teams. Both teams have massive fan bases. They'll almost always give the skins a primetime slot.

Exactly, with the whole basis behind it to see if "the Skins can break the streak."

Goddamn we better break the streak.

Re: (Merged) Redskins 2005 Schedule

man, we better get some damn wins in our division this year. This is getting old. I think we have a pretty tough schedule this year. Granted, I thought it was easy last year...

This s-cks. Gmen-Skins on Xmas Eve. May have to drive down the 23rd straight from school, and drive home with little brother after the game.

I want more variety from Monday night - the skins are the highest grossing team in the NFL. That means they probably have the largest, or one of the largest fanbases. Meaning there's demand to see them. Even with a dismal record - how many years have we not gotten at least 1 primetime slot a year since Gibbs last left?
