Not nonsense. Maintaining obscurity as part of a security profile is fundamentally more secure. Is obscurity the only aspect? No. Is it the most important? Not even close. Is it worthless? No it isn't. Stop being a dope about it. How one can argue that obscurity doesn't offer security advantages is odd to me.

So what you're saying is "disclosure of the obscurity should not result in a compromise?" And if that's the case what's the problem with the leak?

When it comes to national security and fighting terrorist who want to kill Americans or disrupt United State's infrastructure obscurity doesn't offer any advantages at all. Obscurity only provides false sense of security. Always assume they know what you know. This is real security and the only meaningful security.
