Re: Rex Grossman may start this Sunday

This isnt a bad move necessarily...all players need evaluated. How would we feel if Rex pulls a Todd Collins and runs the offense effectively? If Rex wins the game and performs well, we might want to wonder about next year, especially if he puts up good numbers...

Don't get your hopes up. Collins had 7 seasons with Saunders' offense, Rex is in year 2 with Kyle S.

Dallas week should never be evaluation week. We must win.

I don't think anybody on Dallas' team nor the Redskins give a crap about this "rivalry" as much as the fans do.

The rivalry died a long time ago.

Rex is so horrible. Hopefully McNabb can play, but he's been hurt all year since the preseason.

Seriously, sit McNabb's ass, he's played like shit. Sexy Rexy is obviously not the answer, but through his performance I think we can evaluate the other members of the offense. If he is able to get something out of this ragtag group of retards, then McNabb is part of the problem.

if rex is not the answer...then why play him??? We know #5 is going to be here....let McNabb play with any/all young guys so he can start to build chemistry for next year. McNabb, himself has things he can work on in this offense

We know no such thing.

Re: Rex Grossman may start this Sunday

This is a great idea. The season is over. We need to decide who are going to be players for us in the future. McNabb is obviously the best QB on the team but he has problems staying healthy for a full season so having a solid number 2 that’s ready to go with actual playing time is really important.

I hope the rest of the season is used to evaluate players and formations that actually work on our team. Double check and make sure Torrian is the real deal again this Sunday, then for the rest of the season find out if we have anything special in Davis and Williams. Have Banks line up at receiver. Actually use 2 tight end sets. Start Eric Cook at guard. Start anyone but Rabech at center. Try Heyer at guard again. Play Kevin Barnes and Macho Harris. Get Darrell Young more involved.

I'm not so sure Mort broke this anyway, Grant Paulson was talking about it over an hour ago. Anyway, I'm not convinced that McNabb is Kyle's guy and reportedly McNabb isn't all that fond of him, not that he has to be. But I wouldn't be stunned if McNabb was taking snaps elsewhere next year.

Are you all in?

Of course, cause of his relation to Logan, first redskin w/a pony tail to score a td.

I don't know who broke it, but I heard it on the 12pm SportsCenter. Probably around 12:15-12:30 was the first I heard Mort mention it.

I know this, if McNabb isn't on the roster next year, I'll be blasting Shanahan for this disastrous trade. If we he's not back in B&G, the first signature move of his regime will be repeating the EXACT same behavior that has doomed this franchise for a decade. Not good.

Side note- does anyone think we're going to go into Dallas and win this week? If I had to guess, we get throttled pretty good, regardless of who is taking snaps for us. We're a hot mess right now.

It's possible they both broke it within minutes of each other. I'm starting to not even care what Shanny does to be honest. I swear, I just don't care for the guy.

I feel the same way about Shanny. I think he has a history of being a very good coach. Personnel-wise... well, he drafted Maurice Clarett and wet the bed on the McNabb trade, among other debacles.

It's funny, we bring in this new regime, get a sense that maybe Snyder has finally learned his lessons, and yet I've felt more distant as fan from the Skins than I ever have in my life. This is the first season where I've actually really laughed at some of our losses rather than getting annoyed or letting it ruin my afternoon. I'm simply unaffected by them this year (I do still crap on them in gameday threads. What can I say? Old habits die hard ).

Anyone who's been in the biz long enough has misses to go along with hits. Don't forget he drafted Terrell Davis, Trevor Pryce, Al Wilson, Shannon Sharpe, and hit big time on an undrafted FA in Rod Smith.
