I don't see Brunell getting much playing time, i think Campbell will get his share though

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

I'm torn over this. I don't know if I want Campbell or Brunell at 2. I think we need a more experienced backup...even if that means Brunell. I can't see having a kid starting and another kid as his backup. Brunell at 3 couldn't play until the 4th if things got bad, unless they didn't want to play the other 2 for the rest of the game...Anyway, I just can't justify $43 mil into the #3 QB.

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

Brunell throws like a 5-year old girl. If there is any reason he would beat out Campbell for the position, it would be because Campbell doesn't understand the offense. I think Musgrave can mold him into someone worlds better than Brunell.

and we know how Gibbs is about Brunnell he still dont want to admit that was a bad pick up. Even if Campbell does better than Brunnell. Gibbs (looking through his Jacksonville colored glasses) would be like Brunnell is the second stringer..

I think your right about Brunell and Gibbs, and also think that's why musgrave was brought in, Gibbs can't let go of Brunell, but Campbell is also now Gibbs's guy, he went out on a BIG limb to get this kid, so I think he will get a fair shake, it will come down to ability.

I don't think Gibbs is looking through Jacksonville colered glass, they traded him. I don't understand why everyone is hoping Brunell plays porley.(not meaning you joethiesmanfan) We should be hoping Brunell had a bad year and can pull his game up this year. We are paying him a great deal of money and he is a Redskin. If he has to play do we hope that he sucks? I would think we wouldn't. So lets atlest hope for him to get back some of his prior skills. We may need him at some point.

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

I think the Rookie is going to be doing a lot of clip board holding... IN the preseason I would love him to play the ssecond half in most if not all of the games. Ramsey needs to play the first half in at least the first 3 games.

I was kind of hoping that Babe Laufenberg would return to camp this summer...

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

The silver lining to that is that no matter how good he looks, Ramsey IS starter this year. I hope Brunell does look SOMEWHAT better because he'll be playing against second stringers. LOL

I don't hope he sucks. I just hope Campbell plays better than him.

Or just to be a jackass, I hope Brunell sucks worse than Campbell.

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

You are right first down if Brunnell has to play I would want him to be able to pull out some of that old pro bowl magic. I can't take another year of losing I dont care who is the QB as long as we win. If I thought Brunnell was our best chance of going to the playoffs then I would be rooting for Brunnell.

Re: Preseason Quartberback!

I think that Hasselbeck is going to get cut. They already have him in talks with Gibbs and the agent.

Good thing Mrs. Hasselback has a good job. He is going to be a stay at home dad with his new baby.
