Who, exactly, is up for an extension right away?

I would wait on Landry. I wouldnt extend Cooley, in fact I may look to transition Fred Davis into the spot this year depending on play and extend Davis before the season starts. I would wait on Carriker like Landry until after this season. I would ask Fletch what he wants and then look to make that happen.

I'd resign and or trade both Cooley and Davis and keep Logan Paulson. I'd let Moss go. Keep Rhabach at Center. I'd cut Torain and Williams and use the new draft pick. ;o

Go to the corner and think about what you've just done.

LOL. I just think its funny seeing people either wanting to trade Cooley or Davis. For the life of me I can't figure out why we can't keep both? Cooley is a HOFer and there is no reason to let him go, and Davis has (to me) equal talent so there is no reason to get rid of him either. Give them shift work..... every 2 or 3 plays change out, or better yet give each 2 quarters and mix them up.... whoever appears to be having the better day let the finish the 4th quarter.

I think that it's quite premature to declare Cooley HOF level, not only that but I'd disagree. Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favorite Redskins ever.

That being said I think that Fred has a lot of ability that he doesn't get to show often enough. Hell even Cooley didn't get the same opportunities in the offense that he had previously. It's more about not really having much need for 2 pass catching TEs unless they want to split Davis or Cooley out wide more frequently. Why waste talent? It's better to get a pick from it rather than not get the potential out of the player.

I'd love to keep both but I'd have to see them utilized a bit more, especially Davis.

I agree. Cooley up to now is not a HOF'er.
He hasn't even had a single 1000 yard season or much less has he had a 10 TD season.

I'd keep both and look for the mismatch.

Well I was hoping people would see the sarcasm with that pitch.

I'd prefer to keep Cooley & Davis too. Seems that all we hear every offseason now is this silly trade Cooley talk. He's only 29 and still very productive, no reason why he can't keep playing at a high level for another 4-5 seasons. Keep them both, and find a way to get Davis more involved.

Three years in, we've refused to feature both in the same offense. If we're not going to hire an offensive mind that can do with two tight ends what all other teams are doing, and if it's going to be one player burying the other, then just move one now.

I think it's patently ridiculous that no offensive mind has figured out how to use two TEs at the same time to maximize the talent on our roster, but I just don't see it being any different this year.

Continuing the tradition that our team has developed of not being able to use the players on the roster to the best of their ability.

They combined for 98 catches last year. Are there many better duos out there?

maybe we are not looking at this in the same manner, when your tight end is the second most targeted player on the team and your second tight end has just over half the catches as a backup running back and only 1 more than your fullback that's not exactly a duo to me
