Rex is terrible...I never thought i would want him back in there but Beck is not even an NFL QB. His only scoring drives since he started playing are garbage time drives. It seemed like yesterday he was determined not to be sacked 10 times so he was just checking the ball down imediately before anything developed.

And I was there yesterday...so I saw the whole field on every play...this is not Kyle...we had open WR's all over the field. This is a QB problem...
Do me a favor. Step outside your home, or office. Wherever you are. Look for the nearest hill. Go climb to the top of that hill...and Preach!!!!

It was shown on replay that wr's were open downfield. It's very obvious that Beck simply isn't comfortable pushing the ball downfiled. To me it just looks like he can't drive the ball into tight spots. Whatever it is I've seen enough. But not giving Kyle a pass. He has to shoulder some of the blame too.

Agreed...there's plenty of blame to go around. But many Redskins fans want to fire Kyle and think that our offense would suddenly improve a bunch if Mike were calling the plays. I don't believe that. And anyone calling for coaching firings 24 games into a rebuild is the equivilent of a 39 year old Dan Snyder...

I agree with you and SS. Beck's play obscured a lot of potential positives from this game. It was our best use of personnel the whole season.

It's remarkable that two straight years, our quarterback situation has put us in a spot where this is a reasonable conclusion. There is nothing that John Beck can do in the next eight games that makes him a viable option going forward. I'm sure he will improve, but at the end of the year it still has to be someone else.

I'm one of the biggest proponents of the idea that taking the focus off the quarterback position is one of the easiest way to rebuild a team in the QB-crazy modern NFL. But any personnel guy who failed this hard two consecutive years at rebuilding the offense would get fired. Even Vinny Cerrato. I'm at the point where if Bruce Allen isn't going to be the guy calling the shots on personnel, then Bruce Allen needs to hire a guy who will. You, me, anyone but the status quo.

We don't even need to tear down the structure of the front office. We just need to fix the problem.

Wow, I just got home for the Hospital. Apparently after watching Beck I drank myself into a coma and tried slitting my wrist with a butter knife.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins vs. 49ers) (Thread is Open)

Smackdown - John Beck as a starting quarterback. Can you at least look at your receivers before throwing it to Helu? A RB w/ 14 receptions means your offense is terrible. McIntosh/Doughty chasing a wide open FULLBACK streaking down the field for a TD. To me that play sums up both of those players perfectly. They were good Skins but its time for an UPGRADE!!! Fred Davis baby - you're still my favorite Skin this season, but you gotta catch the ball. Is that really Anthony Armstrong or did someone kidnap him and dress in his uniform? How many catches does he have this season? I have more but my fingers are getting tired.

Smackup - Helu/Hankerson/Kerrigan, making our draft look very good yesterday. Let Mr. Hanky start the rest of the season. He is our best chance of a playmaker from the WR position. Defense - they played well all things considered. They must go through tons of gatorade for how much time they have to spend on the field. I didnt notice Hurt - which for a left guard is a good thing. He looks like he might be able to stick as O-Line depth in the comings seasons.

Shanny said today that Hank would be starting in MIA. I'd imagine rest of the season.

I know it's probably been mentioned a million times before but what frustrates me is the scoreline. We didn't deserve to score 11pts. All fluff garbage yards bumped up stats for our players and made the game look alot closer than it actually was.

49ers dominated the game from the first snap and we had no chance from the beginning.

Actually I did not walk away with that feeling. I feel we beat ourself every chance we had. The O finally starts to move the ball and Trent takes us from a 1st down to something like 2 and 25. The D makes a nice stand and we then turn the ball over and they score. We had a few other plays like that and we just kept shooting ourself in the foot.

Well I wouldn't say the 49ers dominated from the first snap. Neither team got off to a solid start really.

I would not say dominate either but they were definitely in control the entire game. Never did I feel like the Skins were going to win that game or threaten them.

IT was basically awesome sack by Kerriagen! Then hours of 3 and outs and punts, wow so exciting!
