I have no idea why any of you want to see Beck ever again. He can't throw a ball over 10 yards with any type of accuracy or zip, his ball wobbles, he just doesn't resemble what an NFL Qb should be. Yeah Rex is a turnover machine, but at least he gives the wr's chances. 14 catches by a RB??? Roy Helu has his name next to the great Art Monk?? (shake head)

We r grasping and Rex should start IMO but honestly it doesn't really matter as long as we beat Dallas I'm ok bcuz I know this team only has 5-6 wins

about 10 times Beck had wide open rwcievers for long tds prolly / big plays / first Downs and didn't even. look near them... run the ball up the effing middle more and off tackle downhill ... not ****in 10 yds sideways everytime u hand it off.... PUT A QB IN WHO ATTEMPTS A PASS OVER 15 YDS.. cuz Beck didn't throw a single one.

we suck suck. i was metally prepared for another real bad season thinking wed get 5-6 wins but dang, last 3 games have been brutally boring and inept from a skins side of things.

as skins fans weve been through some brutal seasons and stretches but dang, there has been zero entertainment factor outside gano's 59 yarder.

This! I haven't understood why he isn't getting more reps.. Fletcher's inevitable retirement isn't too far away and Rocky has just been SO inconsistent.

I'm going to guess that next years QB plan will be to acquire Matt Leinart and have him start while they groom a rookie QB.

Or bring Brett Favre out of retirement and give him a multi-year deal.

I've got no problem with playing Crompton, as long as he's ready to play. We signed him to the PS on 9/4. I just have a hard time believing that he's anywhere near ready for prime time.

Don't need prime-time. Scale back the offense to run first, keep Crompton's throws between 22-30 per game. Simplify the progressions (half field or quick reads), be more creative in the run/PA game, and see if JC2 can make some plays. Expand the playbook as he progresses.

On another note; I agree with the following in a big way
from Dirtbag's post: "...Redskins play to what they wish their strength was. Schemes are terrific, but they don’t win titles. Playmakers in good schemes win titles. Using guys to their strengths matters, too."

I can understand a philosophy of wanting folks to understand the system so when you get the franchise QB you can run KS's "system". But, you don't have....and may not get....that franchise QB. The pass happy system only works with exceptional talent at QB.

If you look at Houston 2010 & 2011, you have an offensive system that runs first, yet puts up great run & pass numbers. In 2010 (7th rush yds) and 2011 (1st rush yds) you have an improved YP(run)A from 2008 & 2009. Since KS left, Houston has improved in total points ranking (2008 17th, 2009 10th vs. 2010 9th, 2011 4th-Keep in mind 2011 has been without Johnson for a big chunk). Schaub isn't a Pro Bowl QB, there aren't Pro Bowlers all over Houston's offense. Foster while a very good player, is more a product of the system.

It's time for MS to take the reigns here and dictate a change in philosophy. A committment to the run game helps (protects) a subpar QB. Plus when bad weather sets in it hampers the passing game. Here are some numbers, I'm sure you'll quickly figure out what they are:
NYG 34 - 26 W
ARI 43-35 W
DAL 37 - 22 L
STL 29 - 40 W
PHI 37 - 14 L
CAR 37 - 23 L
BUF 33 - 11 L
SF 47 - 15 L

First number is pass attempts, second is run attempts. Pretty clear correlation to an imbalance and losses. I'm not saying we'd be 8 - 0 with a balanced attack, put we'd be putting more points up and not keeping our D in consisently bad position. If we get the franchise QB, then we can open it up and will be an even more explosive O.

The injuries have hurt the running game as much as beck has hurt the passing game.

When/if he plays this season, it will certainly be anything but "prime time"...
