Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Didn't know where the post this... But Redskins Post Game says T.Williams has a sprained MCL. Gonna get an MRI on it tomorrow.

I'm happy we will get Barkley or RG3 so I'll take a loss I hate Dallas but I want a QB

I hope we get either one, I favor Barkley though.

Agreed. Like I said earlier and will continue to say, Andrew Luck is still a possibilty for us, especially with QB's like Barkley and Griffin playing as great as they are playing. I could easily see Indy swapping picks with us to get Barkley and another first rounder, for Luck.

Why would we do that when we could just grab Barkley our self? Wouldn't make since one bit.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Because we don't want Barkley nearly as much as we want Luck. Indy runs an offense which Barkley, Luck, or Landry Jones could be stars in. Us, it would probably be Luck, Landry, and RGIII.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Mike Shanahan's game management was pitiful. Today, I think is an excellent example of how the Redskins can become competitive with other NFC East teams thanks to an already-arrived (but inconsistent and undisciplined) defense, but how Shanahan is still going to struggle to win every week the way the game is played today.
With that said, I was sure that Shanahan was going to go for two after the Stallworth TD. We've seen him do that before (2008 - Denver-San Diego). It would have been the perfect time to call the best play the team has in the red zone - if the play gets overturned, it's a fourth down must have, if not, the same play wins the game. I understand playing conservatively, but after passing that up, I can't defend the decision to kick a 52 yard FG. After passing up a 48% chance to win, that's not the probability play. Also, the ice the kicker timeout is the worst play in football.

If he doesnt call timeout there 3 good things could have happened,he either rushes kick and misses it,delay of game on dallas,or they flag romo for calling the timeout which sets them back 15 yards!

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Haslett and the DBs coach need to fix the secondary. Both of our starting corners gave up key plays and TDs (actually I think Wilson gave up both TDs). We need a young FS with good covering skills, and I guess Landry will be back next season but he needs to be healthy.
Our running game is pathetic and I don't understand why we are not giving Helu the ball. Still, our running plays are terrible and the off tackle stretch runs need to stop. I know that's part of the offensive scheme but here's a crazy idea...ADAPT to something that WORKS!!

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Orakpo is unfortunately quite overrated around the league, but whatever..
Impressed with Riley again, Gomes was a guy who I didn't even know existed on draft day and had a respectable debut. Grossman was a trooper today, I was very very impressed with him all game long. This type of play every week and we're contenders.
