Well are the redskins in it? Last I remember you indicated the redskins interest in rgIII wasn't all that significant and were really gunning for manning. Is that still true?

i'm not trying to sass anyone, this is a legitimate question: when is the last time picks were officially traded before the draft?

I don't see us signing a #1 WR and a #1 CB at the same time, especially when we need a starting Strong Safety. I mean we could sign a #1 guy at each of those positions, but then we'd be this year's Iggles. Personally, I see the priority as:

- #1 WR (esp since MS said so)
- A strong safety
- A right tackle
- CB depth (unless we get a cheap starter)

I agree but i like the cb pool much better than the safety pool, i really was hoping branch or griffin wouldnt get tagged but they did, not sure who we would have interest in. that being said we need someone i dont want gomes as a starter

I agree that the CB pool is much better, but still the safety position is the bigger need...unless Haslett really likes Gomes as the starting SS. I'd rather get a starting-caliber SS than paying for Carr or Finnegan.

What safeties are out there in FA though? Tyvon Branch and Michael Griffin both got tagged.

Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades

I would think that CB depth might be a draft priority. The WR question is one that I feel would be best approached in FA, just due to the number of quality guys out there, guys that could become our best option the moment they are signed. If we have learned anything the past two seasons tho, is that our FO is way more frugal than the previous, but I guess that is stating the obvious. I hope we pick up a #1 WR and add young CB depth thru the draft.

Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades

The Redskins would seem to have the market gaged correctly here. I wouldn't be shocked if they drop their offer to the Rams just before the league year starts because they know that they can't be topped.

I thought the Seahawks would be a darkhorse for the pick, but I totally forgot that the Rams would have no reason to deal RG3 to the Seahawks, a division rival. It's a really tiny market about the Browns, and the Rams need to keep the Redskins in it, or we're talking about the Dolphins and some way-down-the-board teams being the market for RG3.

You're not getting three first rounders out of that.
