Re: Cowboys MNF Game
It's only one game, but I gotta say I was VERY impressed by Ware last night. He moves incredibly well for a big man and showed some great instincts in getting at the ball. On that interception, he made up 2 1/2 steps on Jeremy Stevens in like 4-5 strides.......I had to rewind the Tivo and see if I actually saw what I thought I saw......I couldn't believe he had that kind of speed for being a DE last year. Let's hope he's already had his career game.
Other than that, I was pretty unimpressed with the Cowgirls offense.......really, there isn't a single thing about their offense that scares me. The Seahawks looked, surprise surprise, inconsistent. Overall I thought they looked better on defense than last year (especially the d-line) and Alexander is running well. The WRs (except for my boy Bobby Engram) are still dropping passes right and left. For the Seahawks, the biggest bright spot was probably Jeremy Stevens finally looking like he might live up to his potential and Shaun Alexander giving a very upbeat and optimistic interview on the sideline regarding his contract situation. They are fools if they don't get a deal done with him (and it looks like they will).

Re: Cowboys MNF Game
Actually Julius Jones still worries me a bit. With that o-line and our defense, I'm probably way more worried than I should be.

Re: Cowboys MNF Game
Jones and Ware both looked good but two players cannot win your games for you. Look at us last years we had a whole D that played great and we were still 6&10. We had a great runner in Portis and we were still 6&10. If last night was a look into their passing game teams will stack the line and shut jones down as they did to Portis last year. Teams can game plan for Ware and Seahawks played very slopy foot ball leaving the ball very exposed to the fumbles.

Re: Cowboys MNF Game
It's Good to start smelling your fear, and see your anguish...... and you said it was surreal when I said that even though you can improve Dallas made the most improvements this offseason and right now is a better team hey it can go all sour but still right now they're a better team than yours.
The offense is still playing conservative that's why you didn't saw much of it and rivera also didn't play. You had to see that D love it, quick and agressve and also Ferguson and Spears didn't play in that game. And if you saw the game you had to see Beirutt the SS #40 smashing all the WR and QB's he's another Roy Williams on the making. GL this season you're going to need it. 1 more thing I'm starting to hear a Ramsey vs Burnell controversy is this because Brunell is really playing great or Ramsey playing bad haven't seen the games those aren't televised here but just looking at the stats and coments form this week game where ramsey had 2 int. Just wanted to know. Last edited by D'BOYZ; 08-23-2005 at 11:22 AM. |

You've got your "star in the making" DeMarcus Ware playing the last series of the game - which doesn't say a lot to me about his chances to start in week 2. Rivera isn't playing, and he had neck surgery three days after signing. I'm sure those two facts are completely unrelated. You're running a conservative offense. Well, your QB (to steal a phrase) has a statuesque presence - in terms of mobility. Your starting WR's have been in the league a combined twenty years (19 and a half, if you count Keyshawn "vacation" with the Bucs), so I don't see then aching to blow by any DBs - I see them aching. (Admittedly, you have a stud at RB). I'm afraid of spiders and my wife. I'm not afraid of the Dallas Cowboys.

Re: Cowboys MNF Game
Once again, the overreacting has begun over 1 preseason game. Ramsey was pummeled by the fans after one game and now everyone is practically sucking Demarcus Ware's johnson over a nice performance in a ...PRE season game. Everyone has gone totally nuts and completely lost all perspective. NONE OF IT MATTERS. Nothing matters til week one. Period. Full stop. End of story. So simmer down now.

Julius Jones - like Dorsett and Emmitt had a Frankenstein baby. [before they signed them](Chad Hutchinson/Drew Henson) is the second coming of Troy Aikman![/before they signed them] Antonio Bryant - the big play threat we haven't had since Michael Irvin. Quincy Morgan - a star in the making (I can't believe the Browns only wanted that stiff, Antonio Bryant!) Justin Beriault (backup to Roy Williams)- "And if you saw the game you had to see Beirutt the SS #40 smashing all the Wr and QB's his another Roy Williams on the making."
