Initial stuff I'm seeing on twitter says MCL tear-

Take it with a grain of salt because it's twitter- but yeah, I think judging on how it looked that could be the case.

Still a great season, but man- I was screaming for him to come out after the 14-0 lead and he started to hobble. Damn shame.

How about wearing the knee brace properly. The brace was on his shin and not his knee.

Anyways, looking forward to what we can do next year. I feel good that we almost beat what some are calling the best team in football with hardly any offense for 3 quarters.

From the first time I saw this guy at Baylor I have been singing his praises. But not today. There is Gallant and there is selfish. yesterday was selfish. His team had no chance to win with him at quarterback After he tweaked it early in the game.

This franchises mortgaged everything on this guy. My guess is he'll be gone till November. Welcome to four and 12
It should cost Shannahan's job

How is anyone putting the blame on Griffin? Is Shanny not the coach of this team?

He saw what we all seen after the first quarter. Do what he was paid to do and make the tough decisions whether it pisses a player off or not. He wasn't brought in to appease any players emotions.

I still think an injured Griffin would've given us a better chance to win than Cousins. We can second guess all we want, but at the end of the day it is the right call. Other players were hobbled out there but they played because they gave us the best opportunity to win.

At the end of the day it was the right call?
Flabbergasted that you or anyone else believes that

It's called denial. Something I think RG3 and Shanahan were both in during the game too.

Yeah.

Still can't get too worked up about it, though. What's done is done, Robert will be okay and both will have learned from this.

I've already moved on. We have nowhere to go but up.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Neither learned from the Baltimore game.

Eh.

I'm not a big fan of ESPN anymore, but I'm tuned in to First Take this morning because I knew Skip Bayless would have something to say about this since he's such a big fan of Robert and is the reason I followed him his last year at Baylor.

I pretty much agree with everything he said about what occurred last night.

Not sure what Robert and Shanny were supposed to learn from the Baltimore game, other than that when a player affects the play on the field he's not playing on you've got something special.

Also see no reason to believe two intelligent men haven't already learned something and wish they had done things different this very morning.

So what is your alternative? To play Cousins, go 6-1 in the stretch (if we're lucky) and miss the play-offs? Why do I have the feeling that you wouldn't be satisfied with that choice either?

Yeah, I guess we're hindsighting this morning. But Rob should have been yanked after the second TD. He just wasn't right. Hasn't been for a month. I hope he'll get some of whatever Adrian Peterson had during the offseason.

I don't think it's hindsight. I think we all knew while it was happening that it was a terrible idea for him to be in. I think the doctors knew- but he played. That's what pisses me off. I know we are Monday morning Quarterbacking here but it's unprofessional that he still played.

We march down the field and win and his knee holds up- I think we're still saying, "Man he's awesome, but at what point do you yank him?".

Huge blow.

It's fairly safe to say whether it's MCL or ACL, he'll recover, right? But my concern is this a recurring problem like with Greg Oden? Although different type of injury.
