I don't think that you can quantify good vs bad

how do you measure war?
I simply don't understand the first statement. Sorry.

you said that christianity brought more good than evil

I said like the carrying of knowledge as well as the destroying, it's done it on both fronts

I don't see how you can measure/quantify its good vs its bad

war being an example

Re: Texas wants to rewrite the US History books

wow, yall still at it? Joe Redskin, I wanted to say you win, the Saxons were
Christians before 1066. Although that still does not prove that some monks in Ireland saved a book and therefore saved civilization or something like that? Anyway, your insults are not insults I am not emotionally invested in this discussion. Parting nod

In 616 Æthelbert of Kent died. The kingdom of Kent and the associated Anglo-Saxon kingdoms which Kent had had influence over relapsed into heathenism for several decades.

That 14 Step zoom sequence halfway down is bad ass! I remember reading a while back about an African village(s) that used fractals in the design layout of their village, clothing patterns, games, etc. The mathematical explanation of fractal geometry is way beyond my ability to understand but I can appreciate it nonetheless.

Re: Texas wants to rewrite the US History books

The point is to basically push "statism" to a certain degree. That is why they want to negate Jefferson( a staunch anti federalist), and reinforce the cultural tenants of the Christian Right. Although McCarthy was later to be proven to be on the right side of history in hindsight, they are going to use his example against "traitors" to the state in the 21st century as commies. If you are anti war, pro civil liberties you will be seen as being non American and a pinko commie. It is funny they want to list country music as a major cultural tenant of America and not hip hop. Both play to the lowest base of society and are really nothing more than affirming a mediocre existence, but country usually has a patriotic theme to it, while hip hop tends to be either about materialism or the tough existence living in the inner city.

Question, if country music and Hip Hop play to the lowest base of society, then what plays to the higher base of society? Or in other words what kinda music do you like?

I think GusFreotte is not trying to say he is above those genres(maybe he is) but the point is one isnt really above another.

One clearly focuses on whites.

Really? So people into country music are the lowest base of society? Not sure where you have been but thats def. not true. I would say that most people who listen to country are the base of Society and this country. You left out that hip hop is also about gangs , violence and drugs.

Re: Texas wants to rewrite the US History books

I actually like some country music (Sara Evans! Hellooo nurse)...and I agree it really speaks to patriotism and reflects the foundation of our society. Especially songs like "Tequila makes her clothes fall off" "Naked women and beer" "Takes a whole lotta liquor to love her"
