For what it's worth, Fisher and fam do hang out in S Florida some in the off season. Not sure if they own a home or just vacationing......

Any word on him and Chicago? I thought I read about that being his dream job. Of course Lovie is still there though.

If Norv keeps getting 2nd chances, why not someone like Mornhinweg?

They still have McDaniels on the payroll right now right? I wonder if they're keeping him around for plan B.

LoL Mornhineg lol, good oc, but to me he "jumped the shark" when he rode off on his motorcycle in Detriot from practice in his first year trying to show how bad he was. He should have never rode back from that debacle. And kicking the ball away in overtime!lol

I dont think Norv has ever had a sub 500 season in SD and has won 3 playoff games which is 3 more than Marty Schottenheimer ever won there. Nobody is going to confuse Norv with Vince Lombardi but its not the like guy has been completely inept in SD. Norv's problem is that he doesnt seem very inspirational or a kick you in the a$$ motivator. SD made the right call keeping him on as head coach.

He started with a 14-2 team and slowly has driven it into the ground. IMO he has done about as bad as you can do with the talent he started with. His teams don't play hard until they are self motivated...like at the end of a season when it's do or die or in the playoffs. He's absolutely awful awful awful...and I am shocked that of all places he gets defended on a redskins message board.

BTW, that 14-2 team never won a playoff game. With Norv driving them into the ground they have won 3. I'm not saying he's a great coach (he's mediocre) but he sure isnt awful.

Calling Norv mediocre is an insult to all the mediocre coaches in the world. AWFUL...AWFUL...AWFUL. He took over for Marty who was alergic to a playoff win...but if a compitent coach were hired instead of Norv they would have won a Super Bowl by now. He's a coordinator...not a leader.

In Turner's first year in SD, the team won it's division (11-5) and won two playoff games;
In his 2nd, they won the division (8-8) and won one playoff game;
In his 3rd, they won the division (13-3) but no playoff games;
In his 4th, they had a winning record (9-7) but didn't make the playoffs
In his 5th, they had a .500 record and didn't make the playoffs...
Hmmmmm.

If I am a Charger fan, I'm thinking it's pretty clear where they are headed next year.

If this happens, I hope he runs Bradford out of town (so we can get him) in search of a QB that fits his system.
