Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

Just got home from todays TC, traffic was crazy. Things I saw and felt. IMO we are deep at WR, Hank and Lewis stood out to me. We will carry 4 TE's all of them were catching everything Paulsen is the secret weapon he has good hands, NP's hands have gotten much better, FD looks like a beast & Reed looks like he belongs out there. Thompson & Jamison are small Alf looks like a giant next to those guys. There is confidence in this team and I like it. They rotated the WR's a lot but to me it looks like they want Hank to be the #2 with PG. Had a great time took my nephew, meet some really nice people bought a TON of stuff.

U came from NYC? Gotta say Richmond stepped it up for camp. No issues and the community came together for a new debut. Think the skins found a nice home for years to come.

Matty that florio article is the most f@cking rediculous I've read all offseason. What a turd

The media just won't let go of this. Enough already.

Howard Eskin ‏@howardeskin Sources also tell me even w recommendation by Dr James Andrews that griffin not play first 4 games, belief is shanahan will play him wk 1

Howard Eskin ‏@howardeskin Sources tell me RG3's dr, James Andrews, has recommended to #redskins that Griffin not play until after bye wk. Wash bye is week 5.

I think he should start Week 1, and I believe he will. But if Shanahan chose to sit him, I wouldn't mind that at all. The first four games are Philadelphia, Green Bay, Oakland, and Detroit; all games we could win even with Cousins starting.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

Better off listening to these guys...

John Keim ‏@john_keim 17m
Say what you want about Shanahan, but I'd be surprised if he went that much against a Dr's recommendation in this case, esp w/RG3.

Mike Jones ‏@MikeJonesWaPo 15m
Shanahan has been ultra cautious, even holding RGIII back slower than Andrews recommended. He wouldn't ignore doc on return date.

John Keim ‏@john_keim 14m
at each step since surgery, Shanahan has been the more conservative of this trio.

John Keim ‏@john_keim 19m
Let me be latest to add a "Not true" from a #Redskins official re: report stating Dr. Andrews recommended RG3 sit out until bye

Grant Paulsen ‏@granthpaulsen 24m
Source tells me that the report that James Andrews told the #Redskins to sit Robert Griffin until after the bye week is erroneous.

I'm glad the DC reporters shut down Eskin's lying ass quickly.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

A week 5 return is troubling to hear. I really hope Kirk continues to play solid in games 2 and 3.
All the more reason to lean toward caution and sensibility- let Kirk carry the offseason/preseason momentum into week 1. Rob's determination to get healthy seems to have gotten his body healthy enough to play in 4 weeks by week 2.
I'd say that's as fair a compromise for all involved.
