I don't think Snyder is blameless but he certainly gave Shanahan almost anything he wanted these last 4 years and it still didn't work.

I guess that begs the question: How much influence do other owners have on the team?

Now, not as much probably. But in the days of Gerald Snyder and Fred Drasner it was a bit different

Maybe Mcnabb was right about Griffin and Shanny and the whole scapegoat thing

yeah its becoming easier and easier to not really care much about the skins anymore, honestly I really don't know or care if and when MS will be fired and who he will be replaced with, we suck with anyone it seems. Sad but we are basically the new Bills or Browns of the NFC

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
Sitting round here talking about Snyder and how much blame to access is a waste of time. He's done the right thing bringing in AJ Smith and Bruce. Getting mad because Dan wants to talk to Kyle or he has a good relationship with RG3 is exactly what the outsiders and the media want you talk about.
Blame clearly falls on the play of the team and the coaches on the sideline, everything else is just bullshit.

The jets who have a way worse offense than the redskins and a QB not even close to griffins level is 6-7 and in the playoff race , rex Ryan should be a COY candidate because he's been great this yr. What's Mike's excuse? Hell for all we know mike may have wanted to get fired the whole season

So your not worried at all that Synder will screw up thin next hire like all the rest? What gives you any confidence that Synder will get this ship pointed in the right direction?

Our record is lousy, but we were a playoff team last year. If you compare this situation to when Zorn was on the way out, we are in a lot better shape.

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
While it's no surprise that Snyder has continued to meddle, in no way does this excuse Shanahan who's been a bloated, arrogant, overrated "coach" for far too long. No matter what has happened with him and Snyder, Shanahan has screwed up enough here to warrant his firing, which I've been hoping for a long time.
