Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

I really think this offseason could be excellent if we play our hand correctly and some of our picks pan out the way we'd like.

1st round - No question here. Best Tackle available. We can't keep that a secret.

2nd round - Best guard available. Very likely that both of these picks will start in the upcoming season.

3rd round or possibly trade up into the mid - late 2nd round - GET TONY PIKE. Im telling you guys, Tony Pike reminds me of a slightly more accurate Flacco with much better NFL ready physical attributes. Watch this guy take off. Franchise quarterback flying under the radar.

With those three picks, keeping Samuels (fingers crossed), Derrick Dockery and Levi Jones and possibly Williams for a backup guard position, I think our OLine could actually go from very bad to maybe even above average, given a little luck. Add onto this list the best free agent center on the market this offseason, and its definitely doable.

We spent our 3rd rounder on Jarmon in this years supplemental draft.

I think the Skins should be reluctant to trade up for picks. We need more picks not less, and trading up generally means trading away.

Peyton Manning .. why is this conversation even happening ? This is borderline retarded, at least come up with ideas that make some sort of sense ... like bring back Jeff George

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

i feel as though this conversation only really matters after we sure up the line in front of the dude taking snaps. this team has gone too long without addressing the o-line problems. i know we have all said this a million times, but it has to be done.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

I would start JC or Colt next year after taking Dan Lefevour in the 3rd/4th round. (I think he may fall a ways just because of all of the "big" names rumored to be coming out.)

EDIT: For the record, I'm aware the Skins don't have a 3rd, but they could trade in if they needed to.

That Lefevour kid has alot of experience and runs too. He def worth a look, good completion numbers too. All for taking a chance with a later round QB pick.

Yeah, I've been enamored with him since the Motor City Bowl in 07 and I've kept my eye on him since then. If he falls that far, I'd definitely take a chance on him.

For the record, I also really like Matt Grothe coming out of USF, but I don't think he's tall enough to make it work in the NFL.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

I think we will look in FA or see what we can get out of TC or CB while we use our picks on more pressing needs-Oline and RB-. Eitherway i think JC is gone,FO doesnt want him and im sure the season cant end fast enough for him so he can get out of here.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

On the Jets/Dolphins MNF game the announcers were saying that Bill Parcells has a 'minimum' formula for drafting QB that I'd be interested to see the career paths of:
-4 years in college
-3 year starter
-24 wins
-Graduated college

Do any of the projected top QB's fit that criteria?

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

I'm going to be lazy on the research. I think McCoy might. I know Lefevour does. I think Tebow probably would as well.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

Vinny's pick = Sam Bradford (a real bargain since he's all broken up)
Dan's pick = Tim Tebow (Flashy Player / Big Name)
Smart picks = Colt McCoy, Jevan Snead (If you want them to play in 2011)
Dumb ass picks = all of them are if your just going to throw a number 1 draft pick into the grinder.

My pick = PineApple Jesus or Jevan Snead if he falls to the second round. I doubt that will happen. Collins is too old to play now. Maybe we can use him for a rebuilding year?

Reason: Okung or Williams
