re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Per Mort:
Reports: Brad Childress acted alone on Moss; has "lost the locker room" Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 1, 2010 7:04 PM ET It's not a new phenomenon to hear that Vikings players aren't exactly enamored with their head coach Brad Childress. The events of Monday, after he told his team that he was going to release Randy Moss, may have been a tipping point for player unrest. ESPN's Chris Mortensen said on SportsCenter Monday evening that Childress has "lost the locker room." "He really has," Mortensen said. "The players are not Childress guys right now. There's a sense there, 'does this head coach really know what he's doing?' That's the truth. You talk to people in that locker room, that's what you you're gonna get from them." You have to wonder how strongly the front office remains "Childress guys" at this point. Childress did not tell management about his plan to cut Moss, according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. Childress has control over the 53-man roster, but this seems like a curious, if not self-destructive, time for Childress to go rogue and make a power play. Moss curiously hasn't been officially waived yet. Still, it's hard to imagine any scenario where Moss would return, no matter how much his new Vikings teammates and some members of the organization want Moss back. Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Moss wouldn't return at this point, even if asked. Childress and Moss can't coexist at this point. The question is whether Childress can co-exist with the rest of his players in that locker room.

re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Imagine what a cast of characters we would have on this team if Randy Moss did actually come down here.
We would have Mr. "I'm not a good fit" for the 3-4 on the defensive line. We'd have Mr. "This is my defense and I don't care what the coaches say" in the secondary and Mr. "I'll play when I want too on offense. Now, if that wouldn't be enough to drive Mr accountability crazy, I don't know what would.

I would have no problem taking a flier on Moss. He is playing for a contract, right? He is definitely better than Santana, Grandpa Galloway and AA. With a leader like McNabb on offense Moss could be kept under control. What's that? Our coach cut our offensive leader at the knees for no reason? Nevermind, our coaches aren't good enough to manage a talent like Randy.

While it might be intriguing to think about, do we really need to pick up another aging cast off that has already been tossed out by other teams? We have been down that road about......48 times

This may make sense if Joey Galloway wasn't on our team. The NFL is all about matchups. That is why Al is worth the headache. He creates matchup problems. Randy Moss is still a nightmare to cover and since Kyle runs a deep first offense, Moss would be perfect. Grandpa Galloway is a joke and should not be on our roster or any roster for that matter. This is probably all academic. I would be surprised if we even have a shot to take Moss. |

Will he deliver? Who knows....head case. We maybe more than any team in the NFL have had a pension for taking on other teams problem children, players past their prime, etc. Perennially successful teams like: NE, Pittsburg, Indy, don't do much of that. Why? Self explanatory..........

Moss has all the tangibles. I doubt he'll be what Gilbert Arenas is to the Wizards.

AND I hope he can. AND, AND guys like Big and RM. It's not the talent that is the problem.......it's the head? Proven to be unreliable in general. It's a shame they are not more like London........

Ok so at what time can the Skins contact him? If he's truly been waived which a bit up in the air, is the earliest after 4pm tomorrow?
