I was just gonna say, if I could predict his future, I think what will happen is he will retire due to not giving a shit/having money in the bank, and then when that money runs out in a couple years he will proclaim his renewed interest in returning to a team, claiming he's motivated, etc.

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread

I remember when we signed him. I'd say 90% of the people were on the AH bandwagon. My how times have changed. His career is probably over and he'll be broke within 3 years.

Oh yeah I guess I should have brought that up here, not in the Manning or RG3 thread

Anyway, he signed a new 5 year deal that will put him on the studio shows more and online. Still staying at ESPN. When ESPN and the NFL agreed to their new deal, it gave ESPN the right to add more studio shows so Jaws will be a big part of that.

ESPN has made a few top level management changes recently so I think this will be the first of several changes over the next few months.

I read about it at lunch, when I first saw the headline I thought he was booted from the job the way so many MNF guys have been. Glad he's still w/espn, I think he makes the game easier to understand

Yeah I noticed a lot of people were putting it out there like he's gone. But he'll be around for a while.

From what I heard on the radio this morning he's taking on an expanded analyst role at the worldwide leader and just signed a 5 year deal in that capacity. I guess ESPN wanted a 2 man booth team for MNF.

I really liked Jaws on MNF. I thought he was a great bridge between Gruden and Tirico.

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread

I know there had been some talk that Jaws might be the new QB Camp host, but I don't know if that ever developed beyond just a thought

Meanwhile, cast your vote

Ok I guess they would've done it right after. Really liked his analysis. Scared to see who they replace him with.
