I personally like Griffin more but if I was picking for the Colts I would take Luck. Luck is much more equipped to run a pro style offense in terms of routes and reading coverage out of a traditional NFL offense. He also has just as strong an arm as Griffin and while he's no where near the scrambler that Griffin is he can definitely move and pick up yards with his feet as well as create second chance opportunities.

There is no doubt that Baylor's offense is gimmicky and probably has some odd reads and adjustments which will factor against Griffin.

And theres no doubt Griffin can learn these things but with Luck it is less likely to be an issue.

I will say this though. Griffin is more likely to win rookie of the year then Luck even though Luck will be the better passer right out of the gate.

From what I keep reading RGIII offense was the spread and yes it was gimmicky. Also he was not asked to read the defense and change the play at the LOS. All he was asked to do was call the play and run it and from what I'm reading if his first option was not available he often ran for the yards himself.

This is what I'm thinking and banking on. RGIII is getting so much hype and it's all in regards to his mobility. I'm betting the coaching staff there will want to pick him up because he will (as everyone else believes) buy time with his legs or get the first down himself. The next big question is would Luck fall to number 6? Rams- Bradford, Vikes- Ponder, Browns- McCoy, all pocket passers. Luck might be more accurate or might be able to throw farther but otherwise the QB they have already knows the system and they would be better off keeping their QB who knows their system and build around him. RGIII is different because he has his legs to extend a play which is not what those teams have right now.

So instead of taking him which will take some time for him to learn the system and for everyone on offense to get on page with each other they would be better served to keep their current QB's who already know their systems and might provide more wins now over taking Luck.

I'm pretty sure he has excellent down field accuracy. They even call it uncanny down field accuracy. Which I know is what we need. I could have sworn I saw something and I mentioned that his mid level accuracy was an issue and got called out on it.

I'd have to agree with this as well. No way the Redskins allow any other team other than the Colts to make a play for Luck. I think in this case, all forms of logic would probably go out the window.

I agree. Based off of what I said above though. I also feel Luck would be better in our system then RGIII. Basically we would be sitting back as fans screaming for him to run the whole time we are watching him getting sacked. <- just my feeling.

Our coaching staff I think would prefer a pocket passer who will go through all his progressions and can feel the pressure and step aside to elude it. Why I think Beck was sitting in the pocket more then Grossman and hardly ran for first downs himself.

I seem to recall Shanahan running a system in Denver that would match RGIII's skills very well. I think our coaches could find a way to adjust if Redskins do wind up with Griffin!
