What is the team going to do with Cooley? Does Paul make the roster for his WR/TE potential? I haven't even seen him as a TE but it sounds horrible. Last year he showed he can play special teams and can hold a block against a CB. 2nd year so he could be a PSquad right? Robinson appeared in the last game and did nothing. That's not saying he couldn't step in but it's almost a given he will never work be a starter. This team really doesn't draft WR successfully. Yeah I'm still pissed we took Devin Thomas/Malcolm- even Davis at the time but that's sort of worked out subtracting his herb use. And theres talk of using a 5th to draft another WR? IMO we have the WR we need already. I'd be fine with Garçon,Moss, Hank(injured),Morgan, Austin or AAA w/ an option for Paul if needed. Banks is obsolete with kickoff rules now and Robinson will have to fight for his life for a spot and is PSquad bound. Like last years draft, I see more glaring holes/need to fill them ( That's what she said). Idk, I hope Allen/Shanny see it my way. Happy RG3 day |

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
No way St. Louis would take Gaffney over a 2nd rounder.

Will Jabar Gaffney stay or will he go? That is the question.

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
I've been around. I never left. But I'm wondering if Allen and Shanahan have a deal in place in conjunction with trading Gaffney for a draft pick. Just the other day Mike Shanahan said that Gaffney could remain with the Redskins.

So now there are #10 Griffin III jerseys all over the Redskins.com website. What is Gaffney's new number! LOL

He could still wear #10. It will just be in different colors.
Other numbers he has worn: ![]() ![]()

Nice football card pics Monkeydad. Yeah, its just funny to me how the $$$$ wagon got on track quick for the Redskins. "Ok so Griffin's number will sell jerseys, Gaffney, sorry bud, new number for you."

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
I did not even remember he was on those teams...had to look hard for those actually. Every other team he's been on has been in #10...U of Florida, Denver, New England, us.
Griffin has the money to buy it from Gaffe anyway, but in reality, when the franchise QB/savior wants a number, the 4th-string WR gets the boot.

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
Gaffney is not even under contract, correct? I mean is he technical still on the team?
I know online internet rosters haven't been updated much since the end of the season, so you can't go by any of those. |

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
that is true, he is waiting to be reelected by the fans, he just needs majority. contracts can void themselves if not properly maintained, it looks like that may have happened in this case

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
We'll probably end up cutting him to save a little cap room. Moss would save us more, but I'd rather keep Moss.
I don't believe Gaffney is a FA this year. Still under contract.

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
As I understand, cutting Moss save us about $1.5 million whereas cutting Gaffney would be around $2.5 million.
