I've already mentally moved on from McC. In my mind, it's all about whether Gruden can be influential enough to steer the organization towards making smart draft day selections. He's the only one in the interview rooms who I trust.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
I am not sure why everyone assigns "power struggle" to Snyder, he is not struggling with anyone, if he wanted to be in charge and out front he would be. If there was a struggle it was between BA and Scot, Dan from all appearances is staying out of it for the most part.
I think that this organization is helping Scot cover up a relapse and trying to quietly get him some help. It also appears that plans for Doug Williams going forward and it would not surprise me to see him become the next GM, he has done a good job as a coach and in recruiting at the college level, he has the connections and has shown to be a solid scout. I think that the current power structure works and he could slide right in. Let Doug become the super scout GM, and Bruce and Schaffer handle the contracts and the cap. I really want Jay to have a lot of influence and think he is really turning into a solid coach. |

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Why is it Snyder's fault that McC seems to be drinking himself out of another job?

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
if there is a power struggle inside the FO, its clearly Snyder's fault. I like to think there is support within the organization with someone going through substance abuse problem too. Skins clearly were aware of the problems in the past too.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Well if thats true, and it sounds like it is then we should can him ASAP.
He'll miss the combine and wont have time to properly prepare for the draft.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
maybe . . . but the best draft we had in a long time was run by Bruce Allen with SM consulting from his ranch in Washington while he was drying out

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Exactly, if it was his grandmother dying and its the combine his biggest time of the year, you suck up your grandma's death; at least to get you through those critical days for your job.
Redskins are handling this the total correct way; basically saying nothing.

The Redskins need someone in PR thst knows that hell they're doing. For a big huge operation they come across as fools. Someone needs to sit folks down over and give them a lesson on PR. For me it all started with the head coach basically talking smack about SM's first round picks. I mean how does your head coach say.. " yeah our 1st round picks the last few years is a guard and the other didn't play".. could you imagine Gibbs saying that? Now the shit show keeps going with Cooley and this mess with SM. Sometimes I think Snyder likes this shit cause it keeps his team in the news. Being a professional operation like Pittsburgh probably bores him to death . Like I said, I feel SM's days are numbered here. Last edited by skinsfan69; 03-02-2017 at 12:55 PM. |
