Lol. Wait n see after a victory over the lifeless Cards was fair. We waited. We saw. We saw a team get absolutely pushed around and man handled by a really bad defense in their own house. And this is year 4 for Gruden? So not exactly a rush to judgement. He has proven himself incapable of coaching in this league for quite a while imo.
If we lost a close one - even to a lackluster team than ok - it is the NFL. But we got our asses kicked all over the field by the effin Colts. Don’t bode well man.

LMFAO i literally busted out at my desk and ppl started staring.

In all seriousness tho, I'm over the HC and DC. without a winning record I think Jay will be gone and I can't argue with that. I want a creative and talented firecracker for a DC, i'm beyond wit's end with our recent DCs.

Somewhat a function of the offenses we have faced so far. A significant test comes this Sunday -- a real offense comes to town. But the D overall hasn't been bad. Luck threw for 181 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. We ought to win (or at least be competitive) in a game like that. This week was all about offensive failings in my judgment. O-line was terrible, WRs were invisible, and play-calling/adjustments were awful.

But as Matty points out, it is early in the season. Losing at home sailing into the bye week would really be bad.

While its early in the season...this is Gruden's 5th season and mostly his offense.......should we really be having games like past Sunday at this point in front of 57K home opener?

Too me, this past game just had an ominous feeling to it. I don't get that performance, I just don't. Not after a dominant week before...Gruden said he sensed low energy from the team...again, why is this?

MUST WIN AGAINST Green Bay. This isn't about just a big game cause it Green Bay, this is about laying out the foundation for the rest of the season. I need to see the team execute well...I need to see the team play hard....I need to see Gruden call a good game.

This last week was unacceptable as a fan. Completely unacceptable.

Chico -- I don't disagree with anything you just said. It's early, but the effort and coaching makes for a sense of urgency now.

Definitely not the best D in football but I do think they played well, including last Sunday.

Watching the game again, All 22, confirms my feelings:

-Coverage by our ILBs improved tremendously from last year. Mason Foster had a REAL solid game, key tackles on 3rd down pass plays, TFLs, tipped ball...

-Dunbar is turning into the real deal.

-Johnathan Allen is a beast.

-I can't quite get my finger on why we don't generate more pass rush... The second INT was caused by pressure (Allen, Kerrigan and Smith), good position by Foster, and DJ making the play though, so I'd be curious to see pressure stats from this game.

-I also don't think Smith left that much on field. Made a nice deep throw to Richardson in the 3rd QTR. He overthrew Crowder on a go route. Overall I'd say the receivers weren't open that much...

Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread

Boy are we thin in the RB ranks. We have AP (33 years old, and who knows how long he will hold up), CT (coming off major injury), Perine (is he still out?), and now no one else. I assume this means we will probably go hunting for another RB who is out of work. Darkwa? Charles? We obviously cannot go into a game with two healthy RBs. I was going to say that I hope they go find Mack Brown who I thought was on the Vikings practice squad, but he's on IR. Hell, even our former RBs are on IR!

Bloody hail, under the last coach runningback was never a position of concern but under the new regime Wash has had no luck? Even when healthy the backs have been subpar, at best.

What happened with Kelley? I didn't know he was dinged up at all until the IR report today.
