I agree. I'm hitting the sack. Gonna try to get up early and post what I hear. Later.

Now that you mention it I've been pretty down over the past month or two when it comes to the Redskins. However getting a bunch of quality young lineman, or more specifically the possibility, for a good price is more then enough to put a smile on my face. On top of that I got Killzone 2 coming out tomorrow so I'm doing pretty good right now.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings

The Washington Redskins not only signed CB DeAngelo Hall to a six-year, $54 million deal with $22.5 million guaranteed, but they are working on trying to sign free-agent DT Albert Haynesworth and negotiating to bring back G Derrick Dockery, who was released by the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

They're still going after Haynesworth. Man what type of cap magic have they figured out now to even consider this?

Might be a great deal though to keep Kendall as we don't know if Thomas will be able to bounce back. Then again with Jansen destined to be a backup the team might be well served to try him out at Guard for depth. Still all this line talk has got me riled up.

Some last tidbits from Redskins Insider. Looks like the interest in Canty means we may not get Haynesworth and even through the night, the Redskins are talking to Dock.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings

Just throwing this out there, but if the Skins get the three guys that they realistically want with Dock, Canty, and Willis then I could easily see Vinny with the freedom to make his sexy pick trading down and possibly picking up Knowshon Moreno. Then maybe an OLB in the 3rd round assuming this draft is as deep at this position as everyone says it is.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings

Dirtbag....Would Canty play inside then with Tayor and Carter on the ends? Haynesworth was my hope to not only get a push inside but also take two blockers and stop the run inside. Can Canty even come close to doing that? We need to get a guy that can stop the run againts teams in the east! You stop the run and get a push up the middle and free up double teams on Carter or Taylor this D would be Very good. Pluse more tunovers and shorter fields will help the O! Sure wish it was big AL!

From what I'm reading it seems like Canty will take over the role fufilled by Demetric Evans (originally planned for Phillip Daniels). Except in his case Canty will see more time inside. I personally envisioned him as a full time DT but the Redskins seem intent on having him split time at LDE and DT with some packages featuring Jason Taylor as a rushing linebacker. Someone along the lines of Smootsmack though might know more of the specifics but either way the Redskins really like getting a rotation going so by my guess Carter-Canty-Griffin-Taylor will see the most time but Wilson-Monty-Kedric-Jackson will also see their fair share of playing time.

Can that rotation stop the Giants,Cowboys and Eagles from running all over us? Cater and Taylor are not big run stopers. We need to have our DT keep blockers off out LBS! That's why Hall is a OK move if you plan to get stronger inside!
