Honestly I think his love of competition is a bit overboard. Don't get me wrong it's good, but there has got to be a point where it's counterproductive bringing in so many players, especially veterans that are capable of actually making rosters, not the usual warm camp bodies you see coming in to get the team count up to 90 during the summer.

Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.

So since there was some question of what happens if Holliday had refused to report, this is kind of relevant to that...

Broderick Bunkley refused to go to Cleveland when the Eagles traded him on Saturday to the Browns for a 2012 5th round pick. So the trade was voided and now he's going to Denver for a 2013 pick. I assume he has agreed to report there.

I'm not sure what would have happened if the Eagles had not been able to find another trade partner.

I'm excited for Hightower, he'll be a real good back IMO for a few years, Add ATV and our run game should be very good.

I'd say Hightower starts Torain at 2 and Helu as the 3

Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.

Consider that the Cardinals placed a 2nd round tender on him back in March and we got him for a conditional late round pick and Holliday? That's not too bad at all

Actually as far as RFA's go thats actually pretty cheap. IIRC the difference in money for an NFL team between the 1st/3rd and 2nd round tender is minimal. Then again maybe thats just the elder Bidwell trying to be cheap.

GMscud - just make him a parrot avatar and call it a day. You can do that now.

Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.

I just want to know what SCP's point is. Do you think he's a dog we shouldn't have traded a low round pick for? Or are you saying he's just an average joe? or are you you just creating a humongous argument while trying to prove some tangential point (if so, that's my job buddy and saden1 is first on the depth chart)?

If the first, possibly but clearly he had some skills and may end up one of those low-risk high reward guys (or even low risk, some reward). If the second, not sure anyone is disagreeing with you all that vociferously.

Not sure about this one. Hightower want see carries until Torain and the Rookies fall flat on there face or get injured. Hopefully that doesnt happen because our oline is as bad as Arizona's was last year !!

What exactly makes our O-line so bad?

First we have 3 nobody bodies in the interior !!

Secondly we have 2 of the softest tackles in the League !!

Trent Williams is a bust out of the gate and Should not be playing Left tackle.

He will look 200 times worst than last year considering our QB situation.

Huh?! Determined to be negative I see. We'll see how the 3 nobodies do - truly a question mark but by no means a sure thing suckage. Lich, Montgomery and Chester have each shown talent.

The "two softest tackles" and TW being a "bust out of the gate" are just inane rantings of negativity. Nope, TW was not a pro-bowl tackle - He struggled at times but mostly showed just why he was a top pick. He faced some top pass rushers last year and, by all accounts, generally acquitted himself well.

Got some actual analysis to back up your conclusions which, by the way, are contrary to the conclusions of every knowledgeable source (read - people who studied the tape) I have read so far?

Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.

Where do you get your good news Redskins.com??? hahaha

Trent Williams is horrid at run blocking and also surrendered coutless hurries and pressures not mention more sacks than anyone who started at least 8 games.
