Re: 2012 QB Class

Thought this was a discussion about the 2012 QBs?

You will find that at times the discussion can run pretty far afield...
BTW You're banned for challenging the Mod...wait that would not be Moderate?
BTW, Welcome KJ to the WP!

Hopefully it is now.

Mike Lombardi was on Inside the NFL talking about Andrew Luck saying that if the Colts have the first pick he has heard that the colts would be interested in trading the pick, should Peyton Manning be healthy. If the Colts and or the Rams have the top two picks, I really like our chances of making a trade for Luck. If the Dolphins are there though..I don't see us being able to get Luck.

ML also said that Mike Shanahan isn't on the hot seat, but when you say your a QB coach, and you put faith in a QB like John Beck, that really hurt MS. Phil Simms said its not Shanahans fault, its the fact he has no OLine to protect his QB.

The only objection I would have with that is most of the sacks were Becks fault. Hopefully he'll get better with more playing time.

Hey! You may be the King of Queens but don't try to be a Mall Cop around here. Leave that to the mods, we're the Zookeepers of this menagerie...seriously though, I want us to draft a QB but the only bandwagon I've been comfortable saying I would Hitch myself to is Kellen Moore and I know he's not a first rounder.

But really though, welcome to the board. Great to have you here. We're pretty much all Grown Ups here so if you have any Dilemma just PM me or any of the other mods. That's Mattyk (he runs the site and is the admin), myself, GMScud, CrazyCanuck (cap expert), Summo (graphics expert), TheMalcolmConnection, and Gmanc711.

Interesting article about Moore and Case Keenum.

You're welcome. I had never heard of Keenum but apparently he's set to break the record for most career passing yardage set by....... Timmy Chang! From the article it sounds like he does have some upside for the NFL. If Moore were a few inches taller I think he'd be a top 10 pick. Maybe even top 5.

Unfortunately for Keenum, when I think of Houston QBs I'm reminded of Andre Ware and David Klingler. Which, I know, is not fair to Keenum.

Re: 2012 QB Class

I thought of the same thing SS. But then there's Kevin Kolb... for whatever that's worth.

who isnt anything special. i believed and still believe that if he hadnt gotten injured last year early on and had been their full time starter, the eagles would have been 6-10 or 7-9. he just isnt very good. i never saw what all the nfl/espn hype was about him.

Re: 2012 QB Class

I don't want Case Keenum because he went to Houston. They don't produce good QB's, ever.

(....Now comes all the people on this board who have something to do with Houston who find this statement wrong...lol)
