Are there any actual senior QBs that are worth of a 1st round selection?
Or we hold our load and build another part of the team, wait till they declare themselves eligible, and then draft one of them.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

Nick Foles is the best Senior QB IMO. Tannehill is a senior, as is Weeden, and Kellen Moore.

I don't like Tannehill, he's too inconsistent, and is still learning the QB position.
Weeden is too old. He'll be 30 in two years.
Kellen Moore I like but you can't all your hope in him that he'll be the answer with so many scouts doubting his potential.

Nick Foles is 6'5 240lbs, with a strong arm, accurate, 4 year starter, has good awareness, and plays with WR's that aren't 'number inflaters' for him.

Kellen Moore's pro potential being compared to Drew Brees - Tony Pauline - SI.com

Good read on prospects such as Kellen Moore, Chandler Harnish, TY Hilton, a BYU NT like Haloti Ngata, and Justin Blackmon

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

I simply don't trust MS to pick a QB and he shouldn't have the final say. It should be a decision made by the organization. But they must draft a QB with that first pick. I don't care if he doesn't fit your stupid "system" ...get the best guy Shanahan! .. you stubborn ass eogmaniac!!!!

After that they had damn well better draft some o-linemen. Enough is enough. What got this team 3 SB's was having a dominant o-line. A center and a guard is simply a must! I know some will want to get a wr, Bowe and Colston will be free agents. Just don't overpay, espeically for an often injuried Colston and an inconsistent Bowe. But they may have to go that route.

And third, I really wouldn't worry about the defense. Get back Jenkins, put in Riley and let's roll with that. My point is when was the last time we had a offense that could consistently score some damn points? I think we'd have to go back to when we had Brad Johnson. This upcoming draft and free agent period has got to be geared 100% on offense.

He did draft Jay Cutler but I feel your frustration

I agree. But here he just hasn't done a good job with that position..McNabb, shoving that Beck crap down everyone's throat. We're two years in and still don't have a QB. So with such a crucial pick that they simply can't afford to miss on, everyone should have a say and hopefully everyone will.

Foles is interesting and boy does he look the part. I've seen a few Arizona games this year. No question the guy can sling it.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

If a guy like Moore is available in the 3rd or 4th, it would be worth it to draft him in addition to taking a QB w/our 1st. I'm sure they'll at least find a UDFA or a late round qb to compete for a backup spot.

I'll be honest if he wasn't MS then I'd be calling for a new coach, some of his decisions have just been down right stupid..

1. Trade JC
2. Trade for DM
3. Bring in Rex for DM
(Trade DM and don't draft a QB?)
4. Talk up Beck like he's the starter
5. Start Rex instead
6. Bench Rex for Beck
7. Bench Beck for Rex

ALL IN A 1 1/2 year span

WTF Dude????

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

JC needed a freshstart elsewhere.
I think that the organization made an attempt to suck for Bradford by keeping Zorn, knowing that he would be fired. It blew up in their faces when he went number 1.

Most GM's would have made that move for DM because Reid covered his issues well in Philly. We were dupped. I think the staff knew before the year even started that this year would turn out this way so they are willing to bear through it to get to a Qb rich draft class this year.

I think they should of made a stronger push for Matt Leinart.

Bingo. Honestly, I think a lot of people are riding Shanahan's reputation to justify his mistakes.

No way to Leinart but should have to Matt Flynn

He made a lot of mistakes in Denver. Didn't get the axe until he refused to fire Slowik(hmmmmm, Dan might get the urge to fire Kyle....hmmmm).
