That's when we need 4 yards. If we need 3, Vernon gives us 2.

Gibbs learned, once he saw Riggo run. I believe Gruden just has never had a ball carrier that convinced him he could go 25+ and be that guy.

We certainly haven't had one even close to it on any of these teams. Maybe AP opens Gruden's eyes and paves the way for Guice.

Re: Redskins Signing Adrian Peterson

The strength of the offense is still going to be the passing game. I know some people will scoff but the league rules are set up to benefit the pass, and Gruden knows how to design and run a quality passing game and get the most out of his QBs. Peterson can definitely be a nice piece but if anyone is yearning for the days of 3 yards and a cloud of dust it's not happening.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the passing game. Alex and Gruden have already shown they'll produce there. But I really do hope that as a team we average 20+ carries a game.

I want 4.3 yards, a cloud of beautifully setup playaction passes, and some deep passes raining down to Doctson/Richardson.

Crowder and the TE's will see most of the action in the pass game, Smith loves the MOF. Doc will probably lead the team in TD's but not close in catches.

Doctson will probably lead the team only in games lost due to minor injuries.

Re: Redskins Signing Adrian Peterson

If someone is on IR when the team wins the superbowl, is he still counted as Super Bowl Champion and gets a ring?

Just wondering when I may be rooting again for the team - which I will not until he is gone.

I love this article by Keim: http://www.espn.com/blog/washington-...s-for-redskins

I hope Guice is doing everything he can to learn from AP

I think an extra year to learn the playbook and study under AP is going to help Guice out tremendously in the long run. Terrible how the injury played out and I was very excited to watch him run, but this might end up being beneficial.
