Shows what we know, in Buffalo Obada was moved down to DT in a lot of obvious pass rushing situations. Did some damage from there too. Good looking player.

obada had 3.5 sacks last year and 5.5 the year before, both with playing ~35% of snaps. bunch of hurries etc too, good signing and it's good he could sub multiple positions.

last year he had a 1.48m 1 year deal w/ the bills, haven't seen any reports on his deal w/ washington yet.

Agreed, if this deal is anywhere near what the Bills gave him, I like it.

Still need at least 1 more true DL since we lost Settle and Ioannidis.

Even swing tackles get paid well. Shows how important the position and depth are.

Glad he is back, one of the better swing tackles in the league. He will very likely end up starting several games for us. Although I really hope Cosmi can stay more healthy this year. He was always beat-up last year.

The Washington Commanders, in a continued effort to keep their own free agents, re-signed veteran swing tackle Cornelius Lucas on Thursday. The deal, according to a person with knowledge of the matter, is for two years and worth $8.2 million.

“I’m excited. I’m excited to get back to work,” he said. “I’m excited to be back. I’m excited to be wanted back, if that makes sense.”

Washington expressed hope of retaining Lucas before the start of free agency, but he tested the open market and said he drew interest from “a few teams.”

“I feel like I picked up a good amount of traction,” he said. “More than I had in the past. But everybody was fakin’ and booty shakin’. Washington was the only one to come through.”

Yeah these 2 are solid options IMO. With Alexander, health is an issue, and that's a reason he could be had on the cheap... But I want security, and though it seems Joe Schobert struggled in Pittsburg, he's turning 29 and is a quality player.
Alec Ogletree is intriguing to me. His production has decreased significantly throughout the years, but at 30 you'd think he could still be a contributor.

Anyway, many options. We need, at least, one of them. Minus draft pool we should have around 6/7M available.
Right or not, they are in win now mode, they will sign somebody.
