Amen to that. Garcia may have a year left in him. That's one year more than Campbell or Young ever had.

For the same reason we haven't drafted a OT in two years.

I would have to go with JC. Given their talents and abilities to command games, JC is the leader. I think that JC is better suited for a play action style offense that is not so RUN heavy (a la the Patriots).

Vince Young wouldn’t fit this offense. Of course I don’t know of any QB that does.

Watching MNF, and Vince is looking really good. Figured I'd give this thread a bump.

Right now I just don't know who I'd take. I wouldn't say Tennessee's WR's are any better or worse than ours. Our TE's are much better. But they have a nice O-line and Chris Johnson.

At this point I'd say Young has a lot more upside, but I'd probably rather have Jason starting right now.

Man Young looked really good. I think getting to sit and learn the offense they for a couple of years must have really helped him out.

Oh and how about the option being run a handful of times?

Very few teams have the personnel to do it, but man, the Titans do it well. Their option is different from the 'Phins option. Tennessee does run action in one direction from the O-line, and then swings VY and Chris Johnson out in the opposite direction. It works nicely.

They were bustin 10 yards a run with the option tonight.
Young had 73 yards rushing on only 11 carries. Chris Johnson is amazing.
Chris Johnson's has benefited from the threat of Young running as well. In the four games since Young is back to starting Chris Johnson has rushed for 228yds, 135yds, 132yds and 151yds.

I keep hearing that his Titans teamates feel VY has matured a lot sitting on the bench. Also that dealing with the death of his mentor McNair has changed him.

That's why it was ridiculous for fans to be calling for Fisher's head after the 0-6 start. He brought in Vince and changed their entire Offense to suit his abilities. We have an S for brains coach who insists on doing the same thing over and over again even though it clearly doesn't work.

well bud adams also publicly called for VY to start over collins so i dont agree with your assesment that fisher gets credit for bringing VY in but he does get credit for game planning and putting VY in the best scheme to be successful.

Putting in VY when you're 0-6 was just as much about the business of football as it was winning on the field. The Titans spent a high 1st round pick on VY, and next year he's due for a HUGE pay bump. At 0-6, the season is basically lost. Here you have a backup QB who's a high first round pick and former rookie of the year/pro-bowler. Might as well see what he's got at this point after what he's been through. After watching him start 10 games, you can make a much more educated decision about what to do with him going into 2010.

Matt Leinert over Vince Young? I'm glad none of you are GM's Every other QB on that list are proven losers. Vince Young is now 22-11 as a starter. And tonight he proved he can make plays to put his team in a position to win games. Something none of those QB's most of you chose can't do.
