My most memorable Schroeder moment was after Joe Theismann went down on MNF and he came in and lit it up! I was like HELLO Jay Schroeder!

I think we all were at that particular moment, especially Jay Schroeder. Unfortunately for him his ego wore thin on the team fairly quick.

When Doug Williams left SB XXII on the last series of the 1st qtr. and was replaced by Schroeder, he was sacked on the very first play. Doug later said even if his leg had been broken there was no way he was going to stay out of that game, knowing after being down 10-0 our chances would have diminished with Schroeder.

Mock draft 3.0: Domino effect, need for OTs, could drop Suh

Not a huge fan of Bucky Brooks' analysis, but he's well networked, and in particular, his mock didn't come off as someone who was just trying to make a name for themselves by throwing crap at a wall. There's some interesting happenings here.

I could definitely see some surprising things happening this coming draft. Between teams adjusting their needs through free agency and the potential for trades, this should be a very interesting draft.

I agree with the NFL total access people, if you get tebow and want him to be successful, he has to go to an Indy or New England to learn from some great older QB, to even be successful in a few years from now, and this is coming from a huge florida gator fan, whose been watching tebow closely for the last 4 years.

Funny thing about that is with those odds Tebow (assuming he is drafted by NE or Indy) has a better chance to make it then say Bradford. So much great talent goes to black hole teams and they wash away.

Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins

This is exactly what the Redskins should do, follow the Dolphins example:

If you look at what Bill Parcells and the Dolphins did when they first got to South Florida, they took the best left tackle in the draft in Jake Long. He'll likely start at that position for the next eight or nine seasons. They eventually selected Chad Henne, but the Dolphins didn't rush the process. It was Chad Pennington who led the team to the playoffs in '08.

Taking Clausen in the first round might be the most exciting move the Redskins could make, but acquiring a cornerstone of the offensive line will provide a better foundation. You guys on board with Okung at No. 4 or do you want Clausen? Use the "comments" section to answer The Big Question.

It is also true that the Fins finished 7-9 last year in part due to struggles at the QB position. Their recipe is a good one but not foolproof.

They also picked up some wins until the rest of the league figured out what the heck they were doing lining up their RB at QB and QB at WR. Just like a new pitcher from Japan, the second time the opponents face him, they're not quite as confused and his ERA goes up.

Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins

Difference is Jake Long wasn't just the best OT in the draft, he was also one of the best OTs in a while. Okung isn't quite as dominant

Really? I heard doubts about his ability to play LT in the NFL due to a perceived lack of foot quickness. Not overwhelming doubts mind you but there were a few experts that thought he might be a hair to slow to be a dominant LT.

Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins

this is a very deep draft for OTs. i think as long as we nab one with LT potential in the first two rounds, we'll be ok. ideally, we can trade down and get another 2nd rounder. however, if we're stuck at 4, i think were much better off drafting okung than reaching for clausen. as of right now, those seem to be the two most popular theories.

what would really be interesting to see is if bradford, okung, and clausen were all gone before we picked. (with buffalo trading up for clausen). in that case, we likely wouldnt have anyone offering to trade with us, since both of the elite DTs would be available. i wonder what we would do if that scenario played out.

Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins

I there's a guy playing in the NFL right now, who would you guys compare Clausen to. I'm talking size, physical ability, and football acumen.

Any names come to mind?
