Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

Yeah there's a huge difference between lobbing some passes out to a guy on the practice field and having to get rid of the ball as D. Ware closes in on you. Congrats to him if he can get it fixed.. or even survive without fixing it, to me he's just not proven enough to take in front of several of the other guys, 2nd round would be a reach for him.

I'd say yes but reports are he wants $5 mill a year. I'd take him for like $2 mill or $2 1/2 mill.

Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

Shanahan said it best, "We want competition at every position". This is a well calculated move that places the Redskins in a good position for the draft. They now have an experienced backup quarterback under contract for a year. If Sam Bradford drops to #4, Rex Grossman knows the offense and could help bring the kid along and possibly take over if he is slow to develop. Or if the Skins select a tackle at #4, Rex can compete with Jason Campbell for the starting job. Win - win.

Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

Nice source.

Anyways, what player WOULDN'T want to start? I doubt any of them, except maybe Todd Collins actually likes sitting on the bench.

Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

i read the PFT article, then read where they got their information from (or atleast the espn article they have linked as a source) and PFT took some serious liberties in streching what rex said.
