Great fit for KS's system, quick reads, high accuracy is a must. Guy has both, no question...if only he cracked 5' 10".

Between Moore & Chase, I'd get Chase if he goes FA. I don't know what his contract status is. No problem with a 4th or so on Moore.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

On a side note I thought this was an interesting Mock 2012 Draft....

Peter Schrager's 2012 NFL Mock Draft: Who to watch at the midseason point - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

Quote:
6. Washington Redskins: Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma: Redskins fans would be awfully happy to see Jones slip to the sixth pick. After passing on selecting Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert and Andy Dalton last April, and opting to head into the season with a Rex Grossman/John Beck two-headed creature at quarterback, Mike Shanahan would grab Jones if he’s still on the board come April. A 6-4, 240-pound three-year starter with perhaps the best arm in this year’s draft class, some pundits are higher on Jones than both Luck and Barkley.

I'm not a college fan so I'm guessing he's got another year of college or more?

Ok this is where I show how smart I am. lol. NOT. I don't get the whole "red shirt" stuff. I know, I know. Poke fun all you want I can take it. Atleast I hope. lol.

Quote:
The term redshirt freshman indicates an academic sophomore (second-year student) who is in his first season of athletic eligibility. A redshirt freshman is distinguished from a true freshman (first-year student) as one who has practiced with the team for the prior season. The term redshirt sophomore is also commonly used to indicate an academic junior (third-year student) who is in the second season of athletic eligibility. After the sophomore year, the term redshirt is rarely used, in favor of fourth-year junior and fifth-year senior.
So if I'm reading this are you saying he's in his fourth-year of school but is considered a Junior because of being red shirted?

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

He's arguably my favorite Redskin of the past five years.

Maybe the Saints will spend so much on keeping Brees that they'll have to let Chase go.

I wouldn't be against this at all, but let's not forget that we were optimistic of John Beck and Rex Grossman this year. Should we really go that route again?
