If you look back at the Patriots when they were winning Super Bowls, you noticed their defense was incredible at the point of attack and LBs. It's a main reason why BB hasn't paid huge money to DBs, and a big reason why he let Asante Samuel walk. Vrabel, Seymour, Bruschi, McGinest, Coolvin, Johnson have all been beasts. The only DB to note on those squads is Ty Law, and Harrison was at the end of his career. I've always thought AS was overrated even back in NE. He jumped routes all the time and capitalized.

Right now, we simply aren't getting the pressure we need to up front and it shows.

It was crazy to think that the secondary put together in the offseason could be anything other than terrible. I love RG3 but the fact that we can't pick up a top corner or Tackle the next two years in the first round hurts. The NFL cap penalty also is really going to hurt us in picking up quality vets to fix this problem... Eff Goodell and Mara.

Can we please establish the bootleg game, move the pocket or something other than run the shit out of our QB we spent 3 first round picks on? Just saying

how long until we see a "lights-out" try out? Andre Carter round 2? Bring back Kevin Barnes?

Neither Kevin Barnes nor Andre Carter are going to fix this.

Truly, Jackson and Wilson played a damn good game today. We got burned on a gimmick play and then had either a questionable scheme or shitty tackling the other plays.

I like Haslett's aggressiveness on first down, but after he gets a successful play, he wants to keep at it and it's been apparent over the past few years that he should be a little more conservative when the offense has a third and long situation.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

To be honest we just don't have the players to fit the scheme or vice versa. Both Kerrigan and Orakpo were drafted as DEs, not LBs. Both have made the adjustment rather well, but I would love to see both of them as DEs again and acting like a giant pincer to nail opposing QBs. One less linemen puts more pressure on the LBs to be able to plug the gaps for the run or defend short to medium routes on passing. Our best true LB is on the verge of retirement Add to that our secondary is full of no names, plus the loud mouth Hall, and you will get lit up. If Haslett and co wanted to institute the 3-4 the organization should have drafted and acquired players that actually played in the system at the college level. I know the options are limited as very few big college Div1A programs run the 3-4, but that fact should have made Haslett think twice about switching in the first place.

Secondary problems will not be fixed for a year or two. You have to draft at least 2 DBs this draft and if we have the money to blow get a younger FA CB or S. Outside of Hall, we have nobody that is really of starting caliber. The only secondary that I have seen in the past couple seasons as bad as ours is the Lion's secondary, which is consists of a bunch of chumps. A switch to the 4-3 would be advised, but I think Haslett will be shown the door if the 2012 campaign is a bummer.

Number 1 scoring offense in the NFL = 1-2. Doesn't make sense.

Good news is that was a lot like GB and Indy when they got their franchise QBs. I hope we can fix it next year or at least adjust this year.

We need some secondary help in the off-season. We need that bad.

A huge mistake was made by cutting Willie Smith, he's better than Polumbus and Black and is now starting for the Raiders (due to injury) and actually looked better today. This is what I would do starting today:

Demote Haslett and promote Morris as DC
Cut Hall I'm sick and tired of this clown, Barnes or Westbrook could play better or equal to this POS.

Totally agree on Smith. We was a very serviceable backup when Trent was suspended last year. We held one WR too many where Smith was a more valuable commodity as a backup LT.

All these Hall cry babies are making me sick. Get the f*ck over it, you can cut Hall fifty times over this season and the team will still have a million problems.

Furthermore, I hate when people cry about people like Carlos Rogers, who played like sh*t for the team and left on his own accord or Laron Landry who also sucked when he played here. You know what? F*CK Rogers and F*CK Landry, they don't play for my team anymore.
