Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
I definitely am not as versed as Schneed or many others on this board about the intricacies of the CBA or salary cap. Hell im not an x's and o's guy either. I know a little bit about a little bit. BUT I knew that KC was our QB many moons ago. Cannot wait to see how God damn good this guy is this season. HTTR!

As for Cousins, many of us have been strong voices in the "Chill the F Out" camp, the strongest of which have been me and Matty. I think if you understand the relationship between Cousins and McVay, and between Cousins and Gruden, and the fit that Cousins has within this offense, then it was plain as day to see that Cousins does not want to be anywhere else. I maintain my prediction: they'll come to a long term agreement before Week 1. Maybe Cousins comes down a little bit in his demands because he knows there's no place he'd rather be than here with Gruden and McVay. Or maybe the Redskins see how Cousins works and how he progresses throughout OTAs, and become more confident in committing big money for the long haul. Either way, both sides want each other, quite badly. That's the only read on the situation you can possibly have.
And we should celebrate for it. HTTR[/QUOTE] I would prefer it by July 15th since that is the deadline I think there is little chance that a long term deal does not get done. He signed it really fast because he wants to be here and knows he is wanted. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Mike Florio posted an article about how KC should boycott the offseason program to force a long term deal. Does anybody know why he hates the Redskins?

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
yeah, i don't think you can prove that you're a leader worth investing big money in by staying home and crying about it. not to mention that's going to end up making him look bad when he gets on the field with a 100% cold start.
i'm sure kirk will be here and show that he's committed to being the best he can be. you're talking about a guy that hired his own qb coach, and then went to train with the other gruden in the offseason on his own dime. that doesn't sound like the kind of guy that's going to stay home when he's finally been recognized as the leader of the team. florio's just being dumb. |

So instead of working to cement your position as leader in the locker room and really take the reins of the organization, Florio says nah boycott it. Don't work out with your teammates. Don't spend time doing the grunt work with them to get the offense down, the timing right. That will surely earn your place as the leader of the team - being a me guy to get your way. Idiot. Why do you guys even bother reading anything he says, there are so many better writers you can go with.

Florio is just a dick. If KC actually did what he suggests he would totally blast him for it.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
^^ None taken. Have already been called a dick twice this morning by separate opposing counsel. Both times, my response was simply: "Well, takes one to know one." <click>; let immediate call back go to voicemail.
They, of course, were dicks. Me? I was merely zealously advocating for my client and using their own words against them. I can't help it if I am just better than them.
