Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
I would encourage people to actually listen to Cooley's comments, I found him to be pretty honest and convincing.

Hello Redskin Nation,
I am new to the Warpath! I look forward to great dialogue and passion w/ B&G faithful. I say we should hold off on the judgement of our front until the truth surfaces above assumptions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But let's be honest about the front office the track record with much of the same players...I think it's fairly obvious that it's divisive and dysfunctional. Post Gibbs 2.0 it's been a dumpster fire.

Wholeheartedly agree. He made a bad mistake bringing the subject up on the radio but I don't think he was told to.

Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
That means nothing once egos get involved. Allen knew Scot and his family.
I'm not sure if the thing with Cousins is true or not, but that really says something when the starting QB goes directly to the owner and says him or me. Again, not sure how true that is but if it is that's very telling. Cousins just doesn't come off as a disruptive kind of guy. |

If Scott wants to trade Cousins now it makes sense because its the only way to get value from a player who is flat out telling you a) he's not going to sign a long term contract b) he wants a trade and basically that he'll leave next offseason and they'll get nothing. Where is the crime in that? That's what a smart GM would do now. IF the article is talking about before the it doesn't match the previous reports that said Scott is the one that wanted to sign Cousins to long term deal last offseason. |

Good cautions, all around. Something is surely wrong in Ashburnistan, but for the moment, the only thing we can say for sure is that we are still living in the Snyder era. The old MO was meddling. The new MO is having a bickering FO that can't function without help from the Emperor. Same old same old. What we probably won't see is one exec with clear and total football authority. The who-is-poisoning Kirk intrigue vis-a-vis the FO requires a little more time and sleuthing to understand. Let's gather the suspects in the dining room: DS -- who personally washed and pressed RG3's jock strap for 2 or 3 years BA -- who speaks in riddles and whose continued presence is intolerable to the QB SMc -- who didn't draft KC and seemed to be the person Kirk most wanted to impress (and who is now lying on the floor with a knife in his back; but his own hand seems to be clutching it) JG -- who devised a brilliant passing scheme for the underdog QB . . . but stood by while 2 of his top 3 receiving weapons were allowed to go. Okay Sherlocks . . . Who is the villain? Could Kirk be poisoning himself? Could it be like Murder on the Orient Express, where everyone is guilty? Stay tuned for next week's episode!
