“173. Washington Redskins: Cole Holcomb, Linebacker, North Carolina
Strengths: Range, zone coverage Weaknesses: Block-shedding, explosiveness Holcomb was a tackle muffin for the Tar Heels, recording over 100 in both 2016 and 2018 (and 93 in 2017). He blew up at his pro day, running a 4.48-second 40 with other exciting results. He’s rangy, active and alert, but he lacks pop when attacking the line of scrimmage. I like Holcomb: He looks comfortable playing in space and pursuing, and linebackers who can play in space and pursue stick around for years in the NFL. This is a great selection for the end of the fifth round. Grade: A” |

That’s a steal of a pick. We got a speedster receiver and someone with size who should’ve went a couple rounds earlier. Good draft. If Love returns to old form, GREAT draft.

If it wasn’t for him not being a underwear performer at the combine he would have been a day two pick. I’ll take that at 6. He can compete for playing time immediately and we needed a tough possession jump ball guy. Since doctson is soft.
