The timing of this (Skins on MNF) has the Snyder splash all over it.
I can hear the MNF crew talking 3/4 of the time about the Redskins.
Danny loves that.
I like Allen as VP, but he is not my top choice for GM. Being the son of George Allen does not make him a football man. I am not sure he is the exceptional and experienced talent evaluator I would want running our drafts and player acquisitions.
Getting rid of Vinny is more thatn I can ask for.
I wonder if Vinny has a job lined up with ND?

I think being the GM of a team that went to the Super Bowl (and winning one) is a good start. And I believe he had a good record when he was in Oakland.

Well I wouldn't give Allen credit for the TB SB cause those were not his players. And after that SB they really didn't so anything and he and Gruden got fired. He did a nice job bringing in some older vets in Oakland. I like the move but I'm going to take a wait and see attitude. I wanted a true personel guy first, not a business contract guy. They've already got a guy doing that.

Bruce Allen is a well respected guy around the NFL who will be the face of the Redskins. There is a whole scouting department and the coach to help him find and select the players. He may not have rings but he has always been involved in good organizations...the last time the Raiders were not a joke was when he was there. He will represent the Redskins very well IMO. I look forward to my Redskins not being a punchline anymore.

I'm so happy that Vinny is gone. I've only two words for the new GM, Offensive Tackle.

You're right, but his track record of success does.

Allen's skill set is more on the business/contracts side of things. He's not really know for being an astute personnel guy around the league

This may indicate Shanahan being hired then, as opposed to Gruden.
