Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
I would rather have LJ by himself than Betts and Rock together. Not saying LJ is in his 2005 and 2006 for but Betts and Rock suck.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Keiland Williams. I thought Torrain would've made it for sure since he was "Shanny's guy". As people were saying, I'm glad to see perhaps there appears to be some "fairness" in the system.
1) Ryan Torrain - drafted by Shanny 2007, bu still cut 2) Cook/Capers - drafted by Shanny, but still cut 3) Devin Thomas - young, tall -- still on the bubble on 3rd string 4) Galloway - old. really old - still first string based on performance 5) Alexander - almost beat Carter (who had 11 sacks last year) for 1st team, based on performance Got to love it - Shanhahan has been very consistent and doesn't seem to play favorites. The players have got to think -- if I really try hard, I can beat the starter & make the team. The starters have got to think -- I've to work since my job isn't guaranteed, even if I'm paid millions of dollars. Beck may have been the exception, since he was "Shanny's guy" and hasn't done much yet. But I guess he was only here for a week or so. |

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Housh isn't coming to WSH, I would almost say the Viks will sign him by tomorrow. DMac has been pulling for VJ but from what I've heard, STL is the leading candidate

Good, if we get a FA WR he should be younger and not a walking injury waiting to happen.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Agreed Gus! T.J Is 32, this team needs youth at WR. Clayton or Jackson at this point and really only Jackson.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
I am not against TJ, but the guy probably only has one, maybe two productive years left. My whole thing with the draft/youth is try to build a nice corp of guys that can stay around for a bit and build something that can last for at least a decade. I don't see how the likes of Green Bay and New England can retool so well and stay competitive overall for a decade and a half and we can't.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Why would we do that? We extended Beck til 2012. No need for a fourth QB, especially one we already dumped to begin with.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Gus the reason why N.E and co. are good every year is because of the Front Office and Coaching staff. They understand what it takes to build a Contender, DS and Vinny had no idea. Finally Dan woke up and brought in a GM and HC combo that knows how to win in today's NFL.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
I have no doubt in my mind that we will get used to seeing a contender every season under Bruce/Shanny.. It may take a season but we will see big changes starting next Sunday
