Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Uh, PHI wasn't that great of a team last year. But, yes they have some individual stars.

They ought to be much better this year. A year for their talent to mesh. Either way, our division will be better this year. 10 and 6 might not cut it.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
A 9-7 record won the NFC East last year. That 9-7 team won the Super Bowl but lost twice last season to the team that finished at the bottom of the division. We never know how things will turn out year after year. With the NFC East playing the AFC North, the division winner in the NFC East could very well end up 10-6. But the last time the NFC East played the AFC North, the division winner did end up with a 12-4 record. I doubt if that happens by the end of the 2012 season.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Good read here from Travelle Gaines, who runs a program that over 32 NFL players use in the offseason to stay in shape, and it basically sums up why he thinks conditioning tests are overrated.
Performance Gaines: What do conditioning tests really tell you? | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports I don't think it's as cut and dry as whether or not teams should run conditioning tests, as I think it depends on what kind of team you have, but for me the interesting parts of the article are where he describes the kind of tests they do. |

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
I agree. It's 10 or 11 to win the NFCE almost every year. Last year's 9-7 was an historical aberration.

The afc north isn't a better division than the nfce. Idk why ppl think that.
Giants won the sb and are better than anyone in the north, the eagles are loaded on offense( ravens and Steelers are not) and honestly Dallas and wsh could both be better than the Bengals.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
So Robert Gallery announced his retirement today. 2nd pick overall back in 2004, I think. So I can't decide if he was a bust or just had a decent yet not great career

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Once they stopped playing him at tackle and put him at guard I thought he was decent. Not 2nd overall pick worthy, but a decent starter. If he had stayed at tackle he would've been called a bust though.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Hopefully Andy Reid is ok. Hadn't made it to camp this morning. I wish the news reporters would break the stories with as much information as they can instead of leading folks to speculate the worse.
